Federation, Christmas Lager, 4.5% ABV

This is a lovely refreshing beer for the merry season. Ordinarily, Christmas beers have a flavour of pudding or mince pies, but Christmas lagers tend not to, and this is no exception.

A light, refreshing taste and mouthfeel, with hardly any aftertaste, this will appeal to those not too keen on an overbearing flavour. It has a respectable head of froth, producing attractive lacing around the sides of the glass. Only the faintest aroma.

Federation, Christmas Ale, 4.5% ABV

As expected, the ale version is far superior to its lager counterpart. The scrumptious flavour of this copper-coloured beer is completely dominated by mince pies. Its long-lasting aroma is pleasingly doughy, and it has a mouthfeel that is markedly imposing on the taste buds.
