As its name suggests, Floris Chocolate has a profoundly chocolate flavour. However, it doesn't differ from other Floris beers in that it has a fruit aspect to it, along with honey. There is some honey in the finish, and it has a chocolate, honey sweet smell.
It doesn't have much body to it, and equally little carbonation. It's a sweet beer with a fruity, chocolatey texture and a smooth, bubbly head of froth. I personally think Floris Chocolate is a silky, creamy, quality beer, but sadly a lot of people who've tasted it don't agree.
Not merely a hint of honey in this beer, like in most honey beers, but barrel-fulls of it! It's a fruity type of honey that completely dominates the flavour. The honey remains strongly in the aftertaste of Floris Honey Gardenbeer, along with some fizz on the throat.
The honey aroma of this amazing Floris fruit beer bursts through the bubbly smooth head - a head which leaves attractive layered lacing around the glass. There is lots of fruit in the nose - like a fruit cocktail, in fact. It has a smooth, fruit-cocktail texture to it. A truly fantastic beer. It is very sweet, and has little carbonation. It is only a low-bodied beer, which is expected from this style. A strongly flavoured beer indeed.
