Oranjeboom Pilsener, 5% ABV
I hate to say it, but this is Holland’s crap lager. It’s far better than the crap lagers that we have in Britain, but it’s still substandard. It has fresh hop character in both the flavour and the finish, with a fresh aroma that’s barely evident. This is a medium-dry beer with a thin head. It has very little body, and is far too gassy. I suppose if you get the bubbles out of it somehow - maybe by pouring it quickly - it’s not too bad – a pretty much inoffensive pilsner.
