I figured out what the advantages being Private First Class are. You will be able to post squad level missions. This means that only people who are on the our squad database at CRS will be able to see it. Make sure your on it, the squad key can be got from Phenom. You dont get any mission points yet, but you dont need any for squad missions. It lets you post attack or defensive missions. The rules will probably change for this when v1.30 comes out.

Please try to attend the meeting this Friday, we need to have a full showing of the NO_. The meeting will be held on our team chat here at the website. We will get in touch on MSN messenger before the meeting. Contact Basturd or Phenom if you need to know how to access the chat. You will need the username and password for the chat.

I finally made it! whoopy-idy-frickin-do. Thats to Private First Class, thank you very much. Doesn't seem to get you anything special, oh well, I'll just keep pluggin away. I guess that after another 1402 Successfull Missions I will get to a rank that will allow me to get a tank once in a while, omg!

I was in Wavre alone today and had 12 successfull missions on defense in 5 hours. One thing I hate about the missions is that all members of a tank crew have to be living to get a mission success. Too bad its all going to reset when WWIIO version 1.3 comes out.

Shot me down a Hawk today in Wavre with one shot from the 38T's cannon, very nice! Mission success!! That was sweet.

Can ALL NO_PANZERS Email me at gahugafuga666@yahoo.com With the time and day that you will be most available for an official 1st NO_Panzer Company Operation. We want to set up a squedule that will allow us to have the largest turnout possible. I know that it is difficult for some because we are all in different time zones. Personally, I'm in the twilite zone, but thats for my therapist to worry about :-) Seriously, This information will be most usefull.

Spawn Limits are in. get used to it and dont bitch! Unfortunately, you need rank above private to get points to write missions. We are going to need to join other missions and complete them to get our rank up. Seems none of has any rank for the time being. Rank will be reset when V1.3 come out anyway, but we need to get used to working on missions.

Vehicles limits have been implemented here is a general rundown on how they are limited:

1) General limits: Every vehicle type will have some limit level associated with it. For example you may be able to sortie 10 109s from an air base, but only 5 Stukas from that same base. General limits are for non-mission spawning and are subject to rank limitations.

2) Rank limits: Some vehicles will be available only to players who havegained a specific rank. All motor vehicles are not available under contested spawn rules and are rank limited for general spawning

3) Contention limits: When a CP is contended (more than one side own at least one facility there), it's vehicle list will change eliminating heavy tanks, and severely limiting most other vehicles as well. Troops will always spawn unlimited.

4) Mission limits: Every vehicle type has a mission limit. So when you take a mission, you MAY be able to get a vehicle that has been depleted from the general pool but is still available in the reserved mission pool. Missions are not subject to rank limitations for vehicle selection (hint: take and complete missions) (‘nuther hint: Taking a mission get’s that silly rank limit out of the way).

These systems are designed to go together to form a dynamic vehicle flow control that is based solely on player driven events. In this way, you the players, are "in control" of what is available at any one time. Keep in mind that vehicle limits mean less vehicles, and you will sometimes run into frustrating situations. Just deal with it. Char fests are gone!

blah....blah...blahh........... more to come..... Actually I had some stuff for here but the site went down because we are too popular. Need to find a new web host soon.

I would not worry about rank too much right now. ranks are implemented in this version, v1.25. Be aware that these will DEFINATELY be reset at 130 and possibly before that release as well. This is straight from the rats.

Remember : "Reality is an illusion that occurs due to lack of alcohol."

NOTE TO CRS: Fix the fucking game before you lose everyone. Last night was a disaster. Riever had everyone organized and ready for the campaign. Then the shit hit the fan. CRS decided to put out a new version of playgate, v1.05. IT DID NOT EVEN WORK! They put out Playgate v1.06 a few hours after and that fixed the problems. But tell me, Why release 1.05???? Who knows... good god man!

Server 3 went down before we could even get in, so we all regrouped and moved over to server 4. When we got all our people over to server 4, we picked a target and spawned in. The lag was terrible. It was so bad for everyone that we decided to move to server 5. We lost at least half the group during this move. People either got frustrated or just couldn't get in. Well, after driving tanks to our targets for 1/2 hour or so, we couldn't even find any enemy to shoot at. The CP's were bugged like crazy, we couldn't take the radios in half the towns we took.

It's too bad all this happened because we had a very formidable force going in, one of our best turn outs and most organized. Oh well, hopefully CRS will get the bugs out and get it working properly before they have no customers left. At least the ones hanging around still are the hard core gamers, that enjoy warfare simulation. We don't have to deal with the 12 year old Counter Strike crowd.

Tip of the day: The 88 has brakes! Did you know that? Please USE THEM if your rolling down hill. :) I have enough trouble towing and holding my beer!

Next tip of the day : Sapper's and Stuka bombs are the only things that can take out an FB, Tanks can hammer the FB's with AP and HE shells all day and it wont make a difference :(

The tactics page has been updated with new and very extensive articles on tank killing and Anti-Tank Gun usage. Check it out. Lots of good tips in there.

I think we all learned something from Friday nights operation. When you have too many people spawning at the same point it will result in utter chaos. Not to mention the horrible lag. It also makes all of us an easy target when we are bunched up like that. Phenom sent off a proposal to Riever that might help alleviate some of the confusion we experienced. We will also try to set a rally point when we have a mission up. Hanging around the spawn is a no no. They are the favorite targets of our enemies.

I have bought MS Gamevoice and been testing it out today. The initial tests are promising. Voice quality was better than RW, and the old Battlecom. RW makes me crash after every despawn in WWIIO, Gamevoice did not. I played around with the voice recognition settings to. I set up voice commands to control my tank and inf. The voice recognition was very good in my opinion. I was able to drive a tank, switching gears and positions very easily. I felt it made me more efficient. On top of all that, you can drive with one hand and have a margarita in the other! Ain't life grand? :)

I have registered http://get-me.to/nopanzer. We can now use that as the URL of our web site. It will be easier to use get-me.to/nopanzer as our address in game. It does not change the URL of our site. This will just re direct anyone using the URL to our web site. And if we ever change servers :( we will be able to keep the get-me.to/nopanzer link because its easily changed to whatever URL I choose.

Your friendly neighborhood webmaster here, I have added a chat page to the website and need the team to help me try it out. I don't know what the maximum user count is. If all goes well we can use it for our team meetings. I am also working on getting a new message forum set up. I found a lot of good tools for building websites at Bravenet Web Services. If your building your own site, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Everyone should do this if you haven't already done it by now :
There is a problem with the SETTINGS APP when run from the Windows "Start" menu. The properties of that shortcut give it a "start in" value of "null" or blank. If you run "settings" this way it WILL NOT SAVE CHANGES. Here's the work around until the Rats implement a fix. Note that this fix assumes you are installed in the default dir. Any OTHER install should simply reflect the appropriate path changes
1. Go to "Start" / "Programs" / "Strategy First" / "World War Two Online" / "Settings"
2. Right click, and select "Properties"
3. Note that the "start in" field is empty
4. Simply copy the path from the target field into this field like so: C:\Playnet\CRS\WW2OL
5. Now “Settings” will save your .cfg file to the correct dir.
I got this from Chris "Mo" Sherland, WWIIOL's Producer

Since the v1.20 patch came out I have been crashing out of WWII online about 90% of the time when i try to shift-esc out of the game world. It is very frustrating, especially when I cant see my kills. I was always using Roger Wilco for voice communications. I turned RW off for a while to see if it made any difference. Well, I was able to successfully shift-esc every time. this was only in a limited test, that lasted about 2 hours on one server,so try it for your self to see if it helps. I have the luxury of having a notebook I can run RW on, so this works for me.

There was supposed to be a multi-unit operation last night. I couldn't find anything. I hope the bugs that popped up in version 1.20 have not kept people away from the game.

We have updated our roster listing, the whole page was rewritten. so go check it out.

Saturday July 28, 2001
We have new sections of our web site up and running. They are screen shots, guest book, and a new map for WWIIO Version 1.2. All the new cities are listed. This is a rather large file, about 2 MB. It is in PDF format, and prints out great. This is a must have. There may be a new patch, version 1.21 out next week to fix the problems caused by the the 1.20 patch. I'm getting sick of the word patch, by the way.

Team Meeting on Friday, July 27, 2001 at 5:00 PM P.S.T. on Zonefriends. Make sure Phenom has your ID so he can add you to the chat for the meeting. RW channel will be 216.228.174.180. DON'T BE LATE! We have a firing squad you know. Meetings will be held every week on FRIDAY's at 5:00 PM P.S.T. from now on.

Meeting notes from Wednesday, July 25, 2001
1) All members of this squad will be on one team only, If you are on two or more squads then you need to leave one. Our squad needs your full attention.
2) When we post missions we need to leave our squad name and web site address. This will help us recruit new members.
3) All voice communications have to end in "over", otherwise we are stepping all over each other. Keep voice comms to a minimum, use it for important information only.
4) Yell "BREAK, BREAK, BREAK" to get the entire squads attention to relay EMERGENCY info during missions. We don't want to hear "Break, break, break, I gotta take a piss, be right back." GOT IT!?! good.
