NOW I have a new story for you all! It's how I waited in line for 5 hours, and never got tickets. *Sigh* if ANYBODY reading this is selling Washington D.C. MCI Center on November 11th tickets, (I really need 3 of them) PLEASE E-MAIL ME! Or if you know anybody that's selling them! THANKS! This long story ahead is told by me to an online friend...it's so sad!
*takes a REALLY deep breath* okay...HERE GOES!
I'll start the story off with Friday afternoon. Sara rides my bus home now 'cause a) she said she doesn't like riding in the car with her mom and b) since I ride that bus she might as well ride it with me!...ANYWAY, so she did...and she asked me to walk home with her since it's kind of a long walk from where the bus drops her off, so I said sure! So we got off the bus, and we were seriously thinking of somehow following Ethan (even though the way he walks home isn't the same way we would walk to Sara's...) LOL and seeing where he lived! But then we decided not to since we thought he'd see us and think we were some kinda freaky stalkers (uhhh...of COURSE we're not stalkers...LOL...*winks*) so we just walked to Sara's and hung out in her room doing our homework and crap...(How dorky are we? We sit in her room DOING OUR HOMEWORK!?!?!?) LOL and Katie kept calling us 'cause she was all jealous we were at Sara's and she wasn't and blah blah blah and then Katie started giving us attitude and getting all bitchy so Sara got kinda mad...THEN we were desperately trying to think of a plan on how we were gonna get *NSYNC tickets! Sara's parents wouldn't let her sleepover at the mall no matter what, and it didn't sound like mine were gonna let me either...so that idea was out...then Katie had an idea! But it was odd since she doesn't even really LIKE *NSYNC...all of a sudden she says she's gonna come to the mall with us and hang out and have her mom sleep there with us and she'd buy a ticket 'cause she wanted to go to the concert...but I think she was just so jealous of us being together, she wanted to come just so we wouldn't be "excluding her"...so it didn't make sense...but her mom said she wouldn't sleep with us there, so THEN Katie suggested Sara and I sleepover at her house, and at like 3 in the morning her mom would drive us there and we'd wait there by ourselves! And her mom actually agreed to doing that! *THEN*, Katie took a nap...and like 2 hours later she calls us back sounding all depressed and sad and says she's just gonna "order some pizza and get movies and stay home with her mom..." so we were curious as to why she all of a sudden didn't want us to sleepover anymore or whatever and she said she didn't think we wanted to...THEN she says she's just gonna go to visit her sister at college the next day...and that really made us upset 'cause that screwed everything up! We were relying on her to have us sleepover and have her mom take us to the mall at 3 AM...but then Katie just goes and changes the plans and messes them up! Grr...so THEN we were really lost...we had no idea what to do! Sara kept begging her parents to let us sleep at the mall, but they wouldn't let us...so I called Christine to ask her what SHE was gonna do, but she didn't call back 'til 10 PM...and she said she wasn't even buying tickets at all...so Sara called her friend Kelli to ask what SHE was gonna do, and she said she was just gonna try calling Ticketmaster or getting online ticketmaster.com in the morning...so we had no plan! Then Sara was talking to her dad, and he suggested we wake up at 5 AM, and he could drop us off at the mall at 6 AM 'cause he had to go to work then anyway...so we said okay 'cause it was the best we could do! But Sara and I both knew 6 AM was NOT gonna be early enough...so we got kinda sad after that...so we went to bed around midnight, and woke up at 5! Brushed our teeth, went downstairs, ate breakfast, and we were ready at 5:30! So her dad took us and dropped us off...we got to the entrace that was closest to Kemp Mill (where the tickets were being sold at 10 AM), but there was a sign on the door that said something like 'We're sorry for the inconvenience, but due to Springfield Mall rules, we need to have everybody OFF mall property until 7 AM, when the line will start at the Ruby Tuesday entrance.' (The entrance we were sitting at)...but Sara and I didn't pay attention to that, so we just sat there thinking we wouldn't get in trouble! LOL (that's how INSANE we are.) Then these two other girls came and they were like, "Did you guys get kicked out yet? Did the security guy drive by yet?" and we were like, "Uhhh no?" and they told us the mall security guy's been driving around like every 10 minutes checking to see if anybody was there, and if so he'd kick them out...but we wanted to FIGHT LOL so we just sat there! And they did too...we were all, "NO WAY we're not letting him kick us out! WE MUST BE FIRST IN LINE FOR THE TICKETS! WE'LL ALL STICK TOGETHER!" but then, what do ya know...the stupid security guy drives up and yells at us (very rudely I must admit) and tells us to get off mall property 'til 7! GRR. He's like, "YOU GUYS BETTER GET OFF MALL PROPERTY OR EVERYBODY'S GONNA BE KICKED OUT AND THERE'S GONNA BE NO TICKET SALES AND I'LL CALL THE COPS!" That guy was really mean too! Ugh. He was a prick. So we went across the street to the corner where everybody else was standing, waiting for 7 o'clock to roll around...and there was a LOT of people. I'd say around 30 people already! PLUS there were a lotta people sitting/sleeping in their cars in that parking lot behind the corner we were standing at, waiting for 7 o'clock to come! And we knew it did NOT look too good 'cause there was so many people there already...and it was COOOOOLLLLLD! It was like 50º outside!!! And 50º at 6 in the morning is NOT typical September weather here...so after waiting at that corner with everybody for a while, we found out they made a list...a list of who got there first, second, third, etc. and that's how they were gonna determine who got to stand in line first or whatever! At first I thought that was a good idea, but then I realized it was a really stupid one 'cause it was NEVER gonna work! Nobody's gonna follow some stupid list to stand in line...nobody there is that mature to do that! And guess what? I WAS RIGHT! Sara had her mom's cellphone with her so she could call her parents if she needed to, and she decided to call and ask her mom if she would come to that corner at like 6:50, and drive us across the street since we knew it was gonna be crazy and everybody would be running across the street...and if we had a car drive us across we'd get there before the people that ran...but after a while, all the parents there with their kids realized the sidewalk closest to the mall (across the street from where we were all standing) wasn't mall property...so Sara called her mom and told her not to come since we weren't gonna have to run across the street anymore! And I didn't know if I should believe that the sidewalk over there wasn't mall property, and I was kinda afraid we would get in big trouble for standing there and we'd be kicked out and not allowed to buy tickets...but we all went over there anyway, and eventually that security guy drove by again and he said we weren't allowed to stand there! But all the parents knew it wasn't really mall property, so they were all screaming at the guy and stuff...then some girl's mom went up to him and tried convincing him to let us stand there since it wasn't really mall property and that we wouldn't make too much noise and stuff, so he actually let us stand there! Then FINALLY 7 o'clock rolled around, and we all RAN to the Ruby Tuesdays entrance...and THAT was when all the madness started! Some big tall girl we nicknamed NFL girl ('cause she looked like she could be in the NFL) nominates and proclaims herself leader of the line and says she was there first with her friend and everybody has to get behind her...THEN everybody starts screaming at her and everybody starts screaming at everyone else because of where they were supposed to be in the line! THEN this one girl whips out that list. And everybody is having a fit saying the list isn't fair and blah blah blah (I knew that list wouldn't work!) and everybody's arguing! It's so insane to see what *NSYNC tickets can do to people! Everybody was all crowded around the door and trying to get to the front where NFL girl was blocking the door...and since Sara's dad knew how crazy it would probably be, he drove back to the mall where we were standing and just sat there in his car monitoring everything just in case a fight broke out or something...Sara and I weren't close the door at all, which sucked 'cause we knew we weren't gonna get a good place in line...and at about 7:30, a mall employee unlocked the doors for us...so everybody makes a mad dash for the escalators and everybody was pushing everybody and it was horrible! I heard that somebody had to go to the hospital at like 1 AM that morning 'cause they fell when they were crossing the street or something and broke their leg...it was bad! Then once everybody was "in line", all these people started cutting...at the front of the line, there was about 50 people all bunched up not in a line! They were all fighting for the front of the line and they wouldn't agree on who got their first! Sara and I were like smack dab in the middle of the line, with probably 40 people in front of us, and 20 more people behind us...Sara's dad called the cops in 'cause he was really afraid something bad was gonna happen, so we were all standing there with like 5 cops and 5 mall security guards and stuff...see, the front of the line was the only part of the line that wouldn't be mature and figure things out! From about 5 people in front of where we were, to the end of the line everybody was pretty calm...everybody was in a single file line and nobody was arguing or anything! Except some people back where we were were arguing with the security guards and the cops about the people in front cutting...'cause it was SOOO unfair! SO many people cut to the front of the line and it was really unfair to us towards the back 'cause most people that cut in the front had JUST came when the doors opened, went up the escalator and just got in front without even waiting at all...and that's what really pissed me off! But I had a lotta fun waiting 'cause the girls behind us were really nice and we just sat there talking about *NSYNC...hehe ;) Sara's mom ended up coming to sit with us around 7:45...and then later on her mom went to Dunkin' Donuts and bought us donut holes and apple juice :-P so that was nice...then when Subway opened at 9, Sara and I went and got subs...lol (Subway is really close to Kemp Mill in the mall)...and throughout the time everybody was waiting, everybody was constantly arguing with each other (everybody up front that is) and fighting over who was first in line and stuff...it was just so unreal how NOBODY up there could get along! Oh and when we'd complain to the security guards about the cutting, they just said they couldn't do anything about it since they "didn't see them cutting"...ARGH. The cops were there for only around 10 minutes, and they said if we couldn't figure things out and if they had to be called back again, they'd send us allll outside and make us come back upstairs one by one like kindergartners...so that kinda got everybody a little calmed down...THEN 10 o'clock rolled around, and the Kemp Mill people came and opened! This woman went down the line asking everybody how many tickets they needed so they could print them all out and stuff...but then after about 20 people bought their tickets, everybody started saying they were sold out! I swear, EVERYBODY in that line waiting had a cellphone, and everybody was trying to call Ticketmaster, plus a lotta people had their friends/family at home going to ticketmaster.com trying to get tickets...then after 10 more people bought their tickets, they came out looking all sad saying they got in the 400 section (REALLY far away from the stage), so I could tell they were gonna sell out SOON. Then the lady in front of us said she just called her daughter, who was at home trying to get tickets from ticketmaster.com and said they took the 'Buy Now!' button off 'cause they totally sold out the D.C. concert online! THEN, the police officer in the store said that after the woman in front of us got tickets, they would probably be totally sold out...and Sara saw the woman selling the tickets, and she only had like 5 left in her hands, and then...they told us. Everybody behind the lady RIGHT IN FRONT OF US wasn't gonna get tickets 'cause they sold out. ((screaming and pulling her hair out)) I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT!! I know 5 hours wasn't nearly as long as the people who slept at the mall waited, but STILL!!!!!! OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I can't believe that happened. Sara and I are gonna try EVERYTHING in our power to get tickets, but I doubt we're gonna be able to. ::sigh:: WOW that took me about an HOUR to type up! LOL DANG!! THANKS FOR READING THIS FAR!
