Well, homecoming has come and gone...wow! My first one...it was pretty kickin'! Yesterday was a BUSY day let me tell you all! First I had to take the PSATs...I woke up at 6 so I could take a shower...I had to be at the school at 8, and they didn't open the freakin' doors 'til probably 8:10...then so many people were late so we ended up not starting 'til about 8:45! And of course we had all that administrative crap to fill out first (name, address, birthday, gender, religion, race, school you're attending) blah blah blah...and that took a while! Everybody got done with the test around 11:50...it was *LONG*! I'm so happy it's over with though! But now the sucky thing is gonna be waiting for my scores...we won't get those until mid-DECEMBER! *Shrugs* oh well...I probably didn't do too well anyway! Hehe :P THEN I came home and actually got a little free time...I went online (of course)...and at 2:30 I had to leave for my hair appointment, which was at 3! And that ended up taking about an hour and a half 'cause she had to trim my hair, then style it! WOW it looked so cool...I can't wait to scan the pics! Then I came home and immediately had to start cooking dinner...I made spaghetti for my family and Kenny =) It was really yummy I must say! *Pats herself on the back* haha...everybody else loved it so yeah! Then at around 8:15 I got dressed and put my make-up on and argued with myself on whether to wear my contacts or glasses...(I chose glasses after all) lol then my mom took pics of Kenny and I all dressed up and stuff...then at about 8:50 my dad drove Kenny and I to the dance! Now I'll talk about it...
They actually did a pretty good job decorating! The theme was "Castle on a Cloud--Medieval Merryment"...so right when you walked in the doors, you see these castle type things...and they had a little "red carpet"...and they put those streamer things inside that you got to walk through...then inside the gym they put all this paper on the walls that made it look like a stone wall...and on the "stone wall" they had things cut out of paper that looked like shields and every shield had a name on it! Or two names...based upon who signed up for the dance! Kenny and I found ours...it said 'Kenny & Marie' :O) Then we ended up finding one that said just 'Kenny' and one that said just 'Marie'! Lol how weird is that? So we took those off the wall and took them home...and they made the middle of the gym floor all black (the "dance floor")...and the DJ was in front of the dance floor...and behind the dance floor they had all these round tables for people to sit at and behind THAT was the cookie/punch table...mmmm good punch! Kenny and I spent most of our time either walking around looking at all the names on the shields, or sitting! Neither of us are dancers, so we just slow danced to the slow songs! So we sat at this one table a lot where some people I knew were sitting...and it seemed to go by REALLY fast! Even though we weren't dancing, it just flew by...it was 3 hours long...but it seemed like it was only 30 minutes long! Around 11:50, we decided to go wait outside at the flagpole for my mom 'cause she said she'd be there around midnight (when the dance ended). Oh and I got a few compliments on my hair and my dress and stuff :D that made me feel good! Lol...hmmm what else to say...I guess that's all! Overall, it was a really good night and I can't wait for Annandale's homecoming next Saturday! My mom and I already made my hair appointment with the same lady 'cause I'm gonna get my hair done the same way I got it done yesterday! Well I think that's all I wanted to say about it...it was so nice! :)
