June 12 2001 - All right don't panick. My idea of going west brought us some results (I cannot decide whether good or bad) - we stumbled across a small town. People are not very friendly, though. We got some water and bread (dang, don't they have pizza?) but they didn't allow us to sleep in the houses. They sent us to the barn istead. Mandarin or Cantonese would sure help in this situation. This village has a limited supply of food, no electricity and no other connection to civilization (great..). Tonight we sleep in the barn, DJ BIgfoot's sunglasses are fixed, the weather is sunny ,some insects and birds are seen from here. All right, good night. Tomorrow we'll try to ask them about a way out of here. June 8 2001 - dagnabit, we're in trouble - we run out of water reserves. There's basically no fresh water at all around us - mountains, grass, mountains, grass.. Where the heck are we ? I'm starting to wonder if it's not China at all ?! DJ Bigfoot's health improves constantly. And these idiots from our recording studios even don't know about our situation. Ali Barr, Jim Leapm Vanessa Gard, if you're READING THIS NOW, it's not a goddamn joke - we're in trouble ! Organize BB helicopters and rescue troops, we're not able to escape from this place. We keep on going west. (DJ Bigfoot : "Why the hell do we go West all the time ?") June 5 2001 - The Beatbrothers are moving down the street. To be a little more precise - down a mountain somewhere in China. So far, we found only one abandoned shack and no people. If you know the plot of "Mr. DJ" (our adventure game that's coming out soon) you'll quite notice the coincidense :] Well, more or less, we'll need to know Chinese when we find somebody around here, but unfortunately my Chinese knowledge is pretty poor - except for "Shu Ma" (Panda bear) I don't know anything. We also cannot rely on finding BB fans in this part of China - only Teggno knows where we are now.. It's evening, dark, crickets sound like synthysounds of a Roland 303. We wear sunglasses, we don't give up. Tomorrow, we're going west. June 2 2001 - Holy, we are alive, praise god ! The last week was terrible, we had no free second to update the site. The plane landed two days ago somewhere in China. We escaped, DJ Bigfoot is still hurt. So far we've seen just a few small houses, mountains and fields. What will the therorists do with our equipment and the plane ? We don't know and trust me, we won't return back to the plane again.. Right now we stay at some barn, aroung 60 miles away from the jet. No people around here, so if the plane leaves - we're quite on our own. Luckily I had a chance to load up the accumulators of my laptop a little in the cockpit yesterday. For now, it's waiting, waiting and waiting. We'll tell you about our situation tomorrow. June 3 2001 - The therorists left, all right. The weather is getting better, but our position is still bad. We don't know where we are, what we're going to do and most important of all - We've Got No Music Equipment !! Crap. DJ Bigfoot's sunglasses are broken and my laptop's CD Drive is broaken as well. Also, our famous sample collection was removed by Tripod. But don't worry, when we get out of here, we'll set up a new one somewhere else. We're heding west to find some people. May 18, 2001 - Don't have much time now, fans.. Hopefully I'll be able to update tomorrow - the batteries are empty and the connection's dead. Over the last two days I managed to find the boombox with DJ Bigfoot, though he's not in the best "condition" - there's only one thing that could rescue him now - a good portion of bass BUT where are we supposed to get it now from !?! We couldn't possible turn on a drummachine now, because these gangsters are in the cockpit all the time. We made 5 landings over the last three days, but the police doesn't seem to notice anything strange. Our position is miserable, we're out of food supply and music. May 15, 2001 - All right, they didn't get rid of DJ Bigfoot, his boombox is still down there, but I don't know about his condition. We spent 2 days without any food, the batteries are running off and the part of the plane where I'm sitting all the time is freezing... I heard the terrorists talk about the equipment. I have no idea what's going on in the world around us - I try to save the batteries of the laptop and the connection's getting worse - we probably are out of the Europe's coast already. My guess - Asia, Russia or something. Hope to talk to you tomorrow... May 14, 2001 - The brothers separated for the first time, and I'm not quite sure what to do now : after we landed for less than 2 hours yesterday, they took some of the equipment away. Some boomboxes (including Bigfoot's) were taken down, others are still here. I do not know if my Brother is still in the plane or not.. I also cannot go out to these therorists-pilots and the batteries in my laptop are running out... If the situation doesn't change in the next 7 hours, I'll try to find Bigfoot and escape. We are probably somewhere above Atlantic Ocean now, however I can't tell for sure.. Just hope that TEGGNO will rescue us. Signing off (forever?), DJ Beatsanov. May 12, 2001 - It's not a drum'n bass situation we're in right now - after the engines started and we took off (see previous news), there was some kind of a misunderstanding - DJ Bigfoot cannot get out of his boombox. And I don't want to break it, or else it would make a heck of a noise and we don't want us to be seen by the pilots. It even seems that these are not our pilots at all.. Right now we're pretty high over the sea level, damn cold here, in the luggage room and I'm trying to get Bigfoot out of his BoomBox, then we could come up with a plan how to escape without loosing our equipment (and our lives) May 10, 2001 - Ah, Crap ! Because we published the BB JAM and WASHINGTON ROCK before consulting our manager, our official Canada tour is canceled. BUT not so easy, fans , DJ Beatsanov & DJ Bigfoot won't let it happen. Here's what happened : Gina Lim called us when we arrived to Toronto and told us the sad news and that we must return to Washington and remove the tracks from the FreeMp3 site. However, we decided to continue the crazy tour and in order to do so, we had to escape the police surrounding the building. The only way out - back in our BeatBro plane. Fortunately, our pilots left for dinner -> we locked inside the plane. It's raining outside, we didn't turn on the lights in order to stay undetected. Could we try to fly away this heavy thing ? Of course, we don't care about ourselves or the plane. But there's like 800kg of music equipment - if this stuff gets smashed... We probably will have to jump overboard. Suddenly we heard footsteps approachin' -> the police offica was going to check on our jet... "Damn, man" I said and without thinking we hid in the huge 1500W BoomBox we use for the Tour ! Oh, shit, that's gonna hurt if they turn it on now... Right now, chillin' inside the box. Oh, CRAP ! The engine is starting..... May 8, 2001 - There's something we want you to do before you go to the "Free Mp3" Site today. Please, sit down ! Don't fall on your knees and don't scream and pray in panic. We planned to have a gig at the Nortel Networks Tour, but our plane arrived too late. But who can stop the optimistic brothers ? Nobody. DJ Beatsanov's love story seems to attract more and more people - the number of visitors DOUBLED over the 2 last days! Though we had to leave "N..." back in Washington, DJ Beatsanov's thinking about her. If you're reading this now (and you certainly do) "I love you" is what you'll hear. This guy, who's now wasting his time with David Letterman's band once played with the holy Blues Brothers Band. If you never heard his piano solo in "Funky Nassau", there's no point for you to live. And while you're in the music shop, get "Simpsons Sing The Blues" (c) Fox - you gotta hear the guitar solo played by Mr. Smihters in "Look At All Those Idiots". You won't believe it : the contest for the best name for "BatBrat2" is over. The results will be published next month - we got more than 540 suggestions, so now it's time to choose the best one. And meanwhile DJ Bigfoot started a new song project. The temporary work-nickname is "BEET" ! The drum-part is groovin', movin' already. We'll see next week. Hip Hop is taking over - but not where the BeatBrothers are fighting for the rights of free Teggno citizens. Eminem's been to court for a while (the gun-story), but unfortunately he got out pretty soon. Yesterday the Brothers went for a camping trip, but it rained like in hell, so the whole good idea had to be cancelled. By the way, did you know that our "samples"-site's going to grow in the next few days ? Watch out, fans ! Mar 31 - Fans, how's the life ?? Sure, you wondered where the heck have the Beatbrothers been for the two long weeks ?? You won't believe it: We still don't know, how the police found out, that we're going to L.A. We arrived at the airport on Mar 19,as planned. We met friends and fans there. Later at 3pm we were looking for a good place for the planned gig. There was a nice spot, where we could put the equipment and the lights. When everything was installed, the police took us !! DJ Beatsanov managed to escape, but the agents got him at the exit. The gig was spoiled and the equipment's gone - not a very nice "welcome to L.A". The next week - nothing new for us, isolated jail of class C. But it was horrible - we had no access to the music equipment. And then... We met Ali Barr !! Remember him ? He was with us on the 1997 Italy Tour - "Red CD presentation". Ali gave us his holy treasure, that was hidden under his bed all the time -- oh, god, it was a MICROPHONE !!! AAAAAAHHHHH ! god,..amplifier..,micro in,plug in,.. god.., AAhh, can't wait.. now, oh my god, TrExNo is here -- AND THE JAM SESSION started - amazing beats + jail house rock tune !! How we got out - tomorrow. Mar 18 - Happy St. Pat's Day, readers and guess WHO is the hero today ?? Superman ? Batman ? Spiderman ?? No ! It's DJ Bigfoot. Why ? Very simple - His new solo-mix "BIGBEAT" is ready and will be here free to download next week. Probably it will be the track 19 on the "Green-CD", we'll see. Yes, we owe you an apology - though we promised to post new stuff everyday, it didn't work out - especially we need time to celebrate our triumph over the "Beat Brothers" and create a few new songs. By the way, we are going to L.A. tomorrow and we will arive at the Central Airport at 13:00, so please welcome - The Greatest Band Of The Damn Universe. (it's a secret but we will try to make a crazy gig live @airport, so watch the news tomorrow). We'll bring some new equipment as well as lotsa new ideas. Incredible - the temporary war between The BeatBrothers and The Beat Brothers ended in peace today !! Don't forget guys, our motto is "Peace, Love And Techno" so, go figure. We remove all banners and other humilating stuff from our site and we even aren't going to post all the messages we received from The Beat Brothers in the last few days (lotsa swearing,I tell ya ;). You should have listened to their "music" - boring drumloops @140 BmP - really depressing (ok, it's our opinion anyway). Though they claimed they are "professionals" and "internationally distributed" and so on, it seems like they've given up [for a while]. Anyway - the contest for the best name of the BatBrat2 is STILL running, we had no time to compare the results because of this BeatBros conflict, so we extended the contest for the next month !! So the deadline is March 29. We already have over 435 suggestions, so don't give up - try to win the trip to California "Green CD" presentation E-MAIL us right away. Amazingly the first conflict between the legendary Beatbrothers and some infamous "Beat Brothers" from UK, who claim to be all kind of professional, occured today ! Just look at what they wrote to us today : Hi, we are The Beat Brothers, internationally distributed and signed in the Uk as house artists. Your site is causing confusion becuase people go and search the web looking for us to check out what new releases are coming up and find your site. We are asking you nicely to change your name or pull your site A.S.A.P Please E-mail us back with further information about your actions Cheers, The Beat Brothers Ha ! Thay's fun. So they demand that we change our name. No way actually would I say, BUT don't forget - FBI is on their site, which means they have advantage. But there's actually hardly a problem - just think of all the names created during the years - "Drumatix Time","Techno Pot","Beat Brot","Texno-Attack" or "The M.B". See how jealous these "Beat Brothers" are. More update tomorrow. Feb 26 2001 - We know what you're gonna ask us - where were The BeatBrothers at "Grammy Awards", though they were nominated for the best performance, best album and best song of the year ?? It's as simple as that : the same problem arises everytime when our fans ask us - "where are your CD's then, if you're that popular ?". Very simple answer - "FBI". FBI has banished the Beatbrothers' records of all types from the store shelves and made the people believe there have never been two guys : DJ Beatsanov and DJ Bigfoot. Only a selected group of members remembers the 1997 comeback and the huge BatBrat tour. The FBI tries to protect the world from the rescuers - that's what's going on. Actually there was a plan to sneak in and make a SLAMMING comeback right after Elton John's & Eminem's song, that's why we pretended to be in Russia for so long - in fact; we've been waiting in USA since Feb. 19, so that the FBI couldn't track our steps back. Right in the evening we were informed that there was no way onto the stage and we had only one way out - we contacted Moby and arranged this huge amazing performance of "Uh, Lordy Trouble So Hard.." where the drums were played... by The BeatBrothers ! Backstage, but not unnoticed. More tomorrow. Feb 19 2001 - We recieve Superb Input ideas for the BatBrat2 song, so keep on writing, fans ! The deadline is February the 31th, so you still have the chance to win the trip to California together with the BeatBrothers !! But most important of all THE SNARE DRUM SAMPLES are finally up !! The TV Shows such as "Survivor" or "Popstars". Everything is planned in those games, all persons are fake and trained and actually nobody wins. There are people whose job is to plan the show-screen play and the guys are faking the emotions ! Take "Survivor", for instance - the players are all well trained, have cute faces and good shaped bodies. What do they do while the camera's off ? The BeatBrothers do not support this kind of shit Feb 06 2001 - we meet again! sorry for posting nothing for 5 days, but we're having quite big demands on our time and since the quality of phone lines in Russia is quite bad, we had to wait a while. But anyways - we're right here in Moscow, Russia's capital. Cold like in hell outside, but groovy inside. BatBrat2 is coming up!! However "Batbrat2" is a temporary nickname and we're looking for a better one, so we start the open contest for the best name for our new amzing mix. The prize - a free trip to California to the 2001 presentation of the "Green CD" in June this year!! The first part of the mix is already done and it's great so far. At the same time, DJ Bigfoot's working on a separate mix-project (even I didn't hear this one yet :) what's going on in the world?-well, some drunk Russians killed a Canadian woman [holy crap, and they say Russian's aren't alcoholics] and some other boring stuff - I hate politics. checked out "The Green Mile" again-magic power movie! Feb 01 2001 - "Groove Attack Sister's" Birthday Today ! Celebrate the birthday of this amazing artist of TEXNO future and our close friend. Also don't forget to check out her art and listen to "Let Us Destroy Da BassDrum" once again,where Sista's beat was used !! but now the bad news - we know that we promised to post the mp3 versions of "Samba" & "DJ Bigfoot's Dance" a few days ago and recieved lots of angry e-mails from you, but we have reasons why we didn't do so - our server crashed 3 days ago and it contained the latest version of "Samba Le Carramba", so you possible have to wait a few days more... And DJ Bigfoot grooves again : today he was almost "caught" by the police while rockin' the cheering crowds LIVE on the street in Moscow. Luckily they didn't use their "Kalashnikov" !! DJ Bigfoot was covered by some cool Russians and is sitting right here in the room with me, panting and repairing his guitar. Jan 26 2001 - "Samba Bamba Le Carramba" was finally released yesterday. This is one of the most amazing hits by DJ Beatsanov ever with natural basses, drums and guitars & TEXXNOO Beat !!
