ADDITIONAL INFO
COB are from Esbo/Finland.
Their name reffers to a famous murder case
that went through the Finnish news papers in
the late 60s: Four teenagers who camped at Bodominjärvi
('Lake of Bodom'), a rather small
lake (for Finnish relations!) about 30 kms north of Esbo,
were attacked by a stranger with
a knife and three of them were killed. The fourth one
survived, but went insane, and that's
also what the 'I survived the Lake Bodom' on the back of
COB's first shirt referrs to.
The killer was never caught and the case remains unsolved
until today.
'Blacksmith' is a pseydonym deriving from
Henkka's real name Seppälä wich means
'smith'.
'Warman is a pseydonym, too: Janne's real
name is Wirman.
According to Allu, his nickname 'Wildchild'
comes from "completely other things than
music". (maybe driving?)
Janne has got his one solo project 'Warmen'.
His brother Antti plays guitar on most of the
songs.
Allu also plays in Sinergy (hopefully still
on the next album...) and played in Impaled
Nazarene for one album ('Nihil'). He was a permanent
member of IN for that time, not just
a guest musician, as many people think!
'Downfall' is inspired by IN's 'Let's
Fucking Die!' lyricalwise. (Just mentioning that
because it isn't mentioned on Scythes Of Bodom :-P)
They all agree that if one member wants to
leave, the whole band is gonna split up.
They also had an agreement that they would split up after
the fourth album in case
it flopped, but luckily it didn't! But if they aren't
successful anymore one day, they will
certainly let COB die and form new projects. BUY THEIR
ALBUMS, damn you!!
