QUICKIES

It remains to be said that...

...CIRCLE II CIRCLE opened the 14th Wacken Open Air with clear sound and said thank you to the huge crowd with very cool cover
versions of "WELCOME HOME (SANITARIUM)" and "EDGE OF THORNS".

...DARKANE had their not really hyperactive audience go insane by the middle of the set despite continuos sound problems and made
a good alternative to STRATOVARIUS as well as a perfect warm-up for SLAYER.

...GRAVEWORM gave us the perfect start into the day with teir lovely grunts and fascinated even me as a "newbie". Unfortunately with
at least 25°C in the burning sun (at 11 o' clock in the morning!) it was too hot to even think about headbanging, really. Not that band
members or fans seemed to care...

...THYRFING managed to take the crowd back to the time of the vikings with artificial blood, artificial dirt and lots of cool music.

...LORDI can be pretty cool when you're not waiting to see NIGHTWISH and that they took teir revenge on SUBWAY TO SALLY (for
giving the people on the right side of the Party Stage a good impression of what Subway To Lordi would sound like - who said this
problem would be solved this year?) by taking away a considerable part of their audience.

...SONATA ARCTICA ended their set (and my festival) with an awsome "THE CAGE" and needed "some votka" right after that (and
hat their music is really good for falling asleep - which doesn't have any effect on contents and quality of any reviews you might want
to write of course...)
