Marcus is a medium height, well built young man. With green eyes which can sometimes change to a grayish-blue color, either way the look in his eyes can be described as either sardonic or cold and lifeless, yet still manage to hold a strong character within. A bright blonde set of short hair is found atop his head always groomed well. Marcus has returned to the ring with a slightly thinner frame than before, and the look on his face is usually that of profound sadness, or simply expressionless. |
The lights dim down low as the sound of a man saying the word: "Producing." comes abruptly over the p.a. system followed by the slow rhythmic tapping of piano keys repeating the same measure over and over. The voice continues for sometime as the crowd is left in blackness until the voice finishes with the sentence "I'm also a teacher of the drums to." echoing just as the percussion beings it's steady beat. Marcus comes out the entrance at this point, as the lights come on with a quick flash, walking nonchalantly down the aisle way decked out in black silk pants and no shirt. He wastes no time entering the ring, he usually wants to cut to the chase pretty quickly. |

After a prolonged absence from the GWA where the government, GWA officials, not even his closest relatives knew where he went, he returned to a life left untouched, and therefore unruined for so many months. Where had he gone? Who had he encountered along the way? What had kept him wherever he was for so long? Finding the answers consumed Marcus every waking moment of his life after his return to the GWA. What he found out was simple, constant drug use had severely screwed up his mind. Establishing between what was real in his past and what was merely an "acid-trip" was next to impossible, and soon he gave up delving any deeper into the matter. And now, yet again, Marcus returns to the ring and to the world in general through mysterious circumstances. Same old song and dance you may say? Watch, listen, and ultimately learn.

Marcus began his wrestling career in the GWA with an impressive first match against three other men, most notably popular superstar, Ryken. From there, Marcus rolled over any and all competition, seemingly on the road to the Gladiator title via a long drawn out tournament holding various other big-name talent. However, it was not to be, as Marcus made his way into the semi-finals, disaster in the form of the prominent love interest in his life: Debra Coleman and her would-be boyfriend, former wrestler Barret Whistler struck. The goal was to make way for Barret to enter the GWA by eliminating Marcus by getting him arrested for alleged murders he had committed. Successful, Marcus was forced to watch the outcome of the tournament through jail bars, watching as Mei Himagaji emerged victorious, and Barret get scheduled for a match in the GWA the same night. Marcus was not to get comfortable in his jail cell, as some unseen situation set Marcus free, and ultimately canceled any plans Barret Whistler had on making a comeback to professional wrestling. Marcus crippled the man brutally in Barret's return match, paving the way for Marcus to charge headlong back into his career. However two run-ins with Reina Saiaki led Marcus to disappear for the better part of year, in which no one anywhere, not even Marcus, knew where he went. Marcus returned to a life all but thrown away, and tried to rekindle his passion for wrestling, and ultimately the GWA. Several successful wins, set Marcus headlong into a four-way match against then reigning Gladiator champion, Johnny Storm at the highly rated Pay Per View Anguish. The match ended with Gaines trying with all his might to muster the strength to lift Storm's body off Dark Tiger, but it was too late, and Storm came out on top. Marcus came out of the match with a new sense of pride, and carried it with him into a match against Anton Rayge for the Falconer title. Rayge forfeited the title, giving Gaines an easy, and in his opinion much unearned title. The two were set to fight again for the title in a flaming ladder matcher, when fate seemed to rear it's ugly head again... |

Smoking Gun - As the opponent stands dazed, Marcus stands in front of him for a moment in what could simply be described as a display of utter disdain for his opponent. Then Rapidly, Marcus fires swift kicks first to the knee, then to the waist (or sometimes groin), then the stomach, then chest, then chin, then nasal region. The move is extremely fast, and when executed flawlessly is almost a complete blur. Novacaine for the Soul - Basically a more artistic, and finessed variation to the Fame-asser. Usually, this move is spurred on by Marcus dodging an opponent's punch, kick, grab or what have you, by leaping high into the air, and spinning away from the opponent. As Marcus spins in mid-air, his knee positions behind the victim's head, and the momentum from the leap, forces the opponent's head down hard on the mat, like so many maneuvers Marcus has perfected. TRADEMARK MOVE: Scorched Earth - The scorched earth is slight variation of Booker T's scissor kick maneuver. However the victim is usually in a completely upright posture as Gaines delivers a high sidekick to the victims chin, knocking the opponent's head back, immediately after contact, Marcus positions his foot behind the victims head ensuring that his heel is hooked onto the back of the opponent's head. And in a quick motion Gaines brings his other foot around the victim's legs providing momentum as Gaines' other leg is brought downwards with the person's head which quickly makes contact with the mat. Due to the severity of the impact its safe to say a broken bone here or there isn't unheard of. |
