January 06, 2001:
My first publicized thoughts of the new year!  How terribly riveting.  I figured I'd start the new year off with a clean slate of thoughts and little tidying up on my webpage...which hasn't been updated in quite a while (sorry guys!).  Anyway, it's cold here in quaint little Ruston, LA.  The last of the snow is melting now.  Yes, I said snow.  It snowed New Year's Day here, and the snow lasted until today.  Many were the snow figures, snowball fights, and other miscellaneous snow antics.  Most of them were caught on film by yours truly, however the tape must remain confidential (partly because it wasn't my tape or my camera, and partly because there were several words and actions filmed that are better left in mystery).  Suffice it to say that a good time was had by all, and today I used up the last of the snowballs I had stockpiled in my freezer (I would bring back two everytime I came back to the room).  I got my webcam for Christmas, so soon there shall be a whole slew of pictures to accompany my tales of college life.  Also in my haul of Christmas goodies was a "Sunder Ball": those spheres that look there's purple lightning inside them that reacts to your touch.  This has proven to be, without a doubt, the most amusing thing that I have ever brought back to college.  Literally everyone that enters the room plays with it for at least five minutes, everytime they come in.  Also, everyone has figured out that touching the lamp and the metal strip alongside the sink at the same time will produce a most unsettling electrical shock.  In other news, I'm still undecided as to whether I should change my major.  I thought I had made up my mind to stick with computer science, but I realized yesterday that I really,
really hate numbers.  I want no more to do with binary digits, function graphs, and algorithms.  However, I don't know what I want to change to....my options are still the same as always: journalism, political science, architecture, psychology, and sociology.  All of those except architecture are liberal arts, so I won't have to take very much math.  I'm not sure, but I doubt that architecture would require any math higher than Math 240 (Calculus).  If I change my major, I can withdraw from CSC 100 because I doubt that any credit for it would transfer.  Besides, dropping a class would be a wise thing to do now, since I'm swamped with work and have a B in all my classes except English 104.  I'm a bit worried, but I'm not going to let it get me down; because I'm Bob, and I'll either end up doing something really important someday or dying a tragic death before I get the chance.  Hopefully it won't be the latter :)  I wouldn't want to disappoint everyone, now would I?  In unrelated news, I've decided to have some resolutions this year.  I'm going to try to stop swearing so much, one word at a time, beginning with the f-word (you know what it is).  I'm going to try to achieve some small degree of physical health...even if I do remain pale as a corpse.  Finally, I'm going to develop better sleeping habits...which I appear to be failing at since it is now 3 in the morning and I have very much work to do this weekend.  Wish me luck, anyway!
Anyway, that about does it for my report. See ya next update!
