Heh heh. Well, for those of you who read my last update and are now worried that I'm gonna start bouncing off walls or throw myself from my window, let me put your mind at ease. I am quite sane now, and in a fairly good mood. I am completely over my little "moral crisis". I'm no worse than the next human being, and it's really not fair to judge myself that way. Like Aristotle said, what is right for one person is not necessarily right for another; everyone has a separate code to follow. I really need to stop updating my webpage when I'm depressed or sleep deprived. Also, I've found an acceptable solution to my woman issues. I don't want to get into it here, but suffice it to say that it is the best possible outcome of all possible situations (how was that for a pluralistic universe?) Anyway, enjoy life and whatnot! Someone really important, whose name escapes me at the moment, once said, "If you do not impose your own terms on life, you must accept the terms it offers you." I've found this to be very true and applicable to my situation. Another important man by the name of W.C. Fields once said, "I'll be sober tomorrow, but you'll be crazy for the rest of your life." That's applicable as well, in more ways than one! Heheheheh. Anyway, I must be getting back to important school oriented things. I complained earlier that everyone I knew was busy with their various academic enterprises, now it seems that I have joined them. In the next few weeks I have a paper on Aristotle and Plato's conflicting theories of Perfect Forms, and a presentation on life in feudal Japan due for my two honors classes. Economics is just there. We don't ever do anything...thankfully! |
