Dragon
Glitt'ring scales and fang'ed teeth
Stomp and flash 'round buring heath.
Glaring eyes and sulf'rous breath
To the unwary bring certain death.
Magnificent wings to pierce the sky,
Wisdom of ages long gone by,
Sinewy beast both fair and fell
Its mighty roar, a doomsday knell.
Friend of the just, foe of the dark
His regal head with nod to mark
The passing of time with but a wink
Who can tell what the dragon thinks?
