When we woke up in the morning,it was pissing down with rain  ,not the start we had wanted for the days open air gig!
By the time we left for the show it had dried up not too badly.
Into Glasgow for a few beers ,then round the corner to the gig .
Glasgow Green was looking good,if slightly muddy coz of the day1 show that had been on yesterday.
First up were Mo Solid Gold…pretty damn good
Then Ooberman…pretty shit.
Then Shed 7…not too bad.
Then Asian Dub Foundation…I really like then  a lot!
Then AT LAST it was the Foo’s turn!
They blasted out Breakout, throwing in a few slowed down bits, and Dave picked one of these moments to go walkabout.
They gradually built the song up & up ,until they had the whole place going off it’s head…..perfectly working the crowd into a frenzy!
All the classics followed, including Stacked Actors ,during which Dave sang part of the song with a Scottish flag in his mouth!
Most of the show was a kind of a blur to me,it was really cramped & hot ,but it was soooooo good to see them again!
It seemed like no time at all that the 13 songs had come & gone…..and alas the Foos were done
Irene had met up with this older lady and was talking to her.
The lady turns out to be Bobby Gillespies (lead singer of Primal Scream) mum!
Olly appears back from the mosh ,with one of Taylor’s drumsticks!
Mrs Gillespie offers to go & get the stick signed for us…But I decided not to take the chance of losing the stick,so we all gave her our tickets instead.Good to her word ,she appeared back from the backstage area with our tickets signed by the Foos!EXCELLENT!
The rest of the day was pretty shit,Primal Scream & then Oasis took the stage, and both of them were fuckin’ rotten!
2 bands that had had their day.It was kinda like…..”here’s the songs that bought us Mercedes….now we want to make some petrol money”
They both put on VERY average sets, and when at last Oasis left the stage…I was glad that the day was over.
As expected, the Foos were by far the best band on show today.
A lot of neutrals in the crowd were singing the Foo Fighters praises as they left the Green.
Dave & Co had won over a lot of new fans today!
