Presidential Address - Summer, 2001

Lee Reyes

My warm greetings to all of you!

It was a great opportunity to visit Santa Fe during my vacation to the Philippines in February 2001.  I was able to relay the message to our barriomates and relatives that the SFCO-USA is here to help our barrio to the best of our ability.  My meeting with the Barangay Captain, Mr. Manzano, and the few Kagawad of Santa Fe from O-it and Ilong was very short, but productive.  I was able to listen to their objectives and goals on how Santa Fe can improve as a community.  Though Santa Fe is divided into two communities, I promised on behalf of our organization that we will try to be fair and helpful to both O-it and Ilong.

At this time, they are building a Barangay Hall located in Ilong using the hallow blocks donated by our organization.  We will proceed to finance the construction of a bridge in the O-it side of Santa Fe.  The construction of the bridge in Ilong has already been completed by the government of Zambales.  Both Ilong and O-it will  equally benefits from these bridges as a means to visit each other's communities.

For the meantime, have a Great Summer and we will see you all either in the Kick-off Picnic or at our Annual Dinner Dance and Picnic. Thank you all for your support…

God Bless Us All!!!

Sincerely,

Corazon (Lee) Esposo Reyes

President 2000-2002
