Sammi's Poems
Even Angels
My broken wings
Sit upon your dusted shelf
Because even angels fall
When you're not here
And even angels die
When you
dont
care
My tears quietly approach my
Crystal eyes
But have forgotten to spill forth
Upon my porcelain cheeks
Cheeks they have visited
More times than they
Can count
I face the sunlight
While walking slowly to the end of
Oblivion
All at once
A bell rings
An angel sings
And I
Fall

Speak To Me
Will you speak to me
In that smoky voice of yours
In that breathy gasp of yours
In that stunning tone of yours
I ask you ever so often
What you see in those cerulean eyes
Dusty and shaded
Upon a stolen shelf
Taken into flights of fancy
Upon my bronzed surface
Sun kissed and shining rays
Caressing my membrane
Is that what you stare at?
Hour inside hour
Minute after minute
Spinning webs of anxiousness
To watch my every move
Like a ballet concerto
I thrust out my heart
And you take it
To keep it
Locked away inside of yours
But what happens when the sun goes down?
The lunar glimmr bounces off my now pasty whiteness
And you move away
Sublimely into oblivion
To await the moment
Of the luminary appearance

But Now I Only Wonder
It occured to me the other day
You never look at me
With windblown hair and hazel eyes
And a voice as smooth as the sea

I used to be looking in the mirror
Now all I see is glass
Money, looks and sex
Is all the anyone has

I used to wonder what it's like
To watch the years pass by
But now I only wonder
How many you lose before you die
