His brother, Jim Shin, says that even though their dad wants Joe to be a doctor, doesn't mean Jou HAS to become a doctor. He needs to 'follow his own path. But I think that Jow would make a good doctor because he actually cares, but that could be a bad thing if his patient happens to die.

He is still studing to be a doctor and has become alittle more relaxed. He also got nicer glasses and a grew his hair, which I think was good for him. I think season 2 Joe better than season one. He grew quite a bit. Not much is mentioned about Jou's family. He has at least one older brother, Shin. His father wants them to be doctors.
His last name, Kido, means "Castle Door," and his first name, Jou, means "Stature."
