ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS
by  ANDREA READWOLF

"Trinity, love? Have you decided what you want for Christmas?" Heero asked one night while looking over some paperwork.

The eight-year-old looked up thoughtfully, the blue crayon stopping in her fingers as her tiny head tipped to the side, silk black curls falling over her shoulder. "Well," she said after another moment, her dark blue-violet eyes staring up at the shining Christmas tree.

"I think I'd like the talking 'Queen of the World' Barbie Doll with the three outfit accessories, complete with pink limo, that says ten different things."

The child smiled up into her father's stunned face.

"Trin? Have you made out your Christmas List yet, baby?" Duo asked as he tucked his daughter into bed.

The eight-year-old shook her little head solemnly, silk black curls framing her pretty little face against the pillows. Dark blue-violet eyes stared up at her daddy and she said "No, cause all I want for Christmas is one thing."

Duo smiled, securing the blankets around her little body. "Oh, really? What's that?"

"I want the talking 'Queen of the World' Barbie Doll with the three outfit accessories, complete with pink limo, that says ten different things."

The child looked up hopefully into her father's stunned face, beaming.

Wufei frowned, walking into the den where Heero, Duo and the girls were watching TV.

"Trinity, I can't find your Wish List," he said. "I have Mara Jade's, but not yours. Didn't you want anything this year for Christmas?"

"All I want for Christmas is the talking 'Queen of the World' Barbie Doll with the three outfit accessories, complete with pink limo, that says ten different things," the eight-year-old replied solemnly before turning back to the TV.

Wufei slowly backed away from the room.

"So, what cha get for Chris'mas?" Kat Peacecraft asked, chewing on a piece of gum as she hung off the side of the balcony.

"Some stupid Moonlight Princess doll. You?" Trinity Chang asked, hanging over the balcony and looking down into the courtyard below.

"Yeah, same thing, only mine was an Ice Princess doll," Kat grumped. "I don't get it. All I asked for this year was a talking 'Queen of the World' Barbie Doll with the three outfit accessories, complete with pink limo, that says ten different things."

Trinity sighed and wrinkled her nose. "Yeah, me too."
