When Duo finally woke, he found that it was already past 10 AM. He was puzzled...why hadn't anyone gotten him up earlier? With a yawn he got up and trudged off to find out. He wearily searched the entire house for his fellow Gundam pilots, but no one was there besides himself. "Maybe they received an assignment...a mission that only required four people," he suggested to himself with a shrug. Suddenly Duo realized how hungry he was, and as he neared the fridge, he noticed a note posted to the side.
Duo,
All of us needed to go out on a secret mission and it isn't anything
major so we found it pointless to wake you. Don't throw any parties, get
yourself arrested or even into the slightest bit of trouble. We'll be back in
a few hours.

"Heh, arrested…oh come on I'm not THAT bad Heero." Duo discarded the note with a swift throw into the wastebasket and suddenly craved to go out for breakfast instead of making a mess at the house.
He bathed and dressed quickly, he was so starved that he didn't want to spend too much time on anything, even his hair, so he just braided it wet and fastened it with a black hair band, and he was out the door. Duo walked from the house to the nearest plaza. He couldn't really decide what he wanted for breakfast…but as he passed a coffee shop, the mouth-watering aroma of coffee and bagels with cream cheese made up his mind for him. "Mmmm! That smells delicious!" Duo said while stepping into the coffee shop. He noticed that it wasn't packed, that was good since he would get served faster. He sat next to a guy who had a scar just below his lower lip; the man was drinking some coffee and reading today's newspaper. Duo was in a cheery mood so he introduced himself to the stranger. "Hi there, I'm Duo Maxwell...and you are?" The man looked up from his paper after he heard Duo and when he saw Duo's large beautiful violet eyes, he wanted him so much that he KNEW he was going to be his next prisoner. "My name's Tom, nice to meet you Duo." He took Duo's hand and gave it a firm shook.
They chatted for a while, and after Duo finished his breakfast he decided that he should be going because he didn't leave a note and Heero, Wufei, Quatre, and Trowa will be coming home soon. "Well it was nice talking to you Tom, see ya around." Duo left the coffee shop and starting heading for home. Tom waited a moment, then headed after him. Duo was too caught up in his own thoughts and was whistling loud enough to make it easier for Tom to sneak up on him. As Duo turned the corner of the alley, out of the corner of his eye he saw a huge object heading towards him, but unfortunately it was too late and Duo was tackled by a guy and knocked out cold before he even had time to turn around.
