Heero was pacing around the living room now. "What could have happened to him?!"
Quatre noticed the frantic look on Heero's face and tried his best to calm him down
without ending up making Heero worse. "Heero, he might have gotten himself into
trouble, you know how he is." Before Heero could snap at Quatre, Trowa suggested,
"Why don't we do a search for him?" This idea sounded very good to Heero.
"Ok that's the best thing we can do now, although I want someone to stay here in case
Duo does show up, so the ones searching can be informed as soon as possible." Wufei
had no clue where to search for Duo so he volunteered to stay behind. "I'll wait here
and hopefully he'll come home." Heero nodded. "Alright, Trowa you take the car
and search the lake outside of town, we all know that Duo sometimes goes there when
something's troubling him, so possibly he is there, Quatre you come with me and we'll
search this town's plaza." They all agreed to Heero's plan in a unisoned
"Alright."
Trowa reached the lake in a matter of 15 minutes and looked over the entire area…but unfortunately there wasn't a braided boy in sight. Trowa sighed. "I hope Duo is with Wufei when I get home, without that cheerful baka I don't know how we would all manage." Trowa thought as he gave the area one more quick scan, after doing that he made his way back to the car, got in with ease, and drove off in the direction to their house."
Heero and Quatre headed towards the town's plaza. Once they reached there Quatre decided to inspect an arcade. "I'll go check out this arcade, who knows…he might be having fun." Heero agreed with this and walked to a coffee shop, he had a feeling Duo might be here since he knew Duo absolutely LOVED coffee.
He walked inside, recognizing that there was only one customer in the café, a man. The man was looking at him very oddly but Heero decided to ignore it since his first priority right now is to find Duo. He walked up to the front counter and leaned over to a fairly attractive short young woman. "Excuse me miss?" he began. The young woman looked up at him. "Yes, can I help you?"
"Hopefully, I was wondering if you have seen a boy with long braided hair with purple eyes, and most likely wearing a priest uniform?" Tom almost jumped out of his stool he was sitting in. He had a shocked expression on his face. 'Oh boy, this kid's a friend of Duo's.'
The lady said she had served a boy that matched that description, but he had left a while ago. Heero didn't know whether this was good or bad news. He noticed that man with the scar looked very shocked when he mentioned Duo's description to the lady. So he decided to have a little chat with him. He sat right next to him and leaned over to ask, "Have you seen the guy I described a minute ago?" " No no I did---n't, I haven't been in here for long, sorry!
The man did his best to control his nervousness and smiled slightly to help but Heero could sense he was trying to deny it when he stuttered. "Hn." Tom sensed that the dark-haired boy wasn't buying his story, so he got up abruptly and said "Hey, I hope you find your friend, but I got to go…bye."
Heero wasn't about to let this guy go without him following, he obviously was hiding something and Heero was determined to find out what. As the guy left the coffee shop, Heero waited a couple of minutes then left also but met up with Quatre who was siting on a bench next to the arcade across the street.
"Did you have any luck?" Quatre frowned and said "No, but I only had time to just check the arcade...I'll start with the other stores if you want me to?"
"No, It's ok you don't need to check other places, see that guy in the grayish tinged trench coat?" Quatre looked to where Heero quickly pointed and nodded "Yes, what about him?" "We need to follow him, hurry before we lose him." Heero raced down the alley the man went into and Quatre quickly followed behind.
Luckily they both caught up with the man without losing track of him. Heero noticed the man kept looking in all directions trying to distinguish whether or not he was being followed. When he would look back, Heero and Quatre quickly ducked behind anything that could block them from being seen by the man. After following him for about an hour, they ended up reaching what seemed like his home. It was a very classy mansion decorated with fine statues and sculptures of beautiful clad men and women, it also had a row of bushes in the front and if you listened closely you could hear soothing classical music playing inside.Tom was very sure he'd been followed. 'I thought my collection would be complete since I managed to capture that braided beauty, but I know that Japanese kid followed me… he would make it totally complete.' Tom was now happy with the way things were going.
Heero and Quatre stepped up to the front door. Heero knew he was armed, but he was uncertain if Quatre brought a weapon. "Did you bring a gun Quatre?" Quatre looked up and smiled "Of course, someone once told me it's wise to always be prepared for the worse."
"Alright, were just going to have to break in, hopefully this guy isn't expecting company."
