Dearest Farewell
Dear reflection of the sin that brought us here
To say one thing when what feels has no where near
You used to hate the hand that soothes you now, You used to hate it
Like summer breeze, it engulfed my lungs and I try not to state it
I tried to protect you from the storm and light, to keep the venom away
But like the dead your voice spoke and you held on tight, I begged not to say
And if I cry tonight the stars will still shine and you will still breathe, I will have you live
Don’t do this for me, the winter chill will wrap around the place you held for this I give
Her heart is warm and her age is ripe, don’t give up what you can have, and this they will allow
I can’t have your mistake take the gallant reverie that you live, what she has is been and I will take a bow
The past will never take me along the waterfall don’t feel that you have made me drown
You thought you were boiling the water of a serpent but now you feel as though you pulled me down
For I have just begun and with you I taste the life of joy and feel of what I am made of
And I’ll take this with me, one of many things you gave me for only us whom see only love
This they shall forbid, like the time that cut our throats it will only tell
For what you stole from me, I tasted your poison and happily I sing and with joy to shout and yell
But dearest I will not have you hang for the sin in this for this is only love and lust is obsolete
Have the opportunity to finish this without me, we can never be and with what I have of you, I’m complete
This joy you gave me, oh he will be the rose of the weeds and the sin in this will not change
But unlike the years that separate us, there will be no range
A child to you will have no fear of fire of eyes and the sting of the tongue
For only us will believe that we have won
Dear reflection of the sin that brought here, the reflection it will be and I shall never tell
To the one who gave love to the deprived of joy, and to the angel of sinful love, dearest farewell
