Un-Abiding To Save
There was a distant feel about taking this back from you; a silent sea could hold no beast
I kept my hand on you; will you take my heart at least?
Could I drown within a wave of light that pours from your eyes?
There is the realization; there was the abandonment of lies
Could a feather fall about my calm sea and sink to the bottom?
Write me down, where is my will when you are the one to say I have him?
Could I bring you to my mouth and taste your last regret?
Or would you drain the sea and leave everything to forget?
Like a feather set afloat to the open sea, it glided along the wave
I’d rip for you to sink, but there was your eyes, un-abiding to save
