Salvation from a world made to cry
Stood there upon the edge of the world in the golden rays as they burn the skin of humanity
In the silent gestures that make the way for the dreadful realization of sanity
And it holds the outlook upon the devil’s wing
It shattered, withered away upon this thing
An outstretched hand is only beaten down to the dirt
In this world, our world, everything real must hurt
Bare feet had walked upon its glass and the blood runs into the soil
Feeding this old desperation that proves our state in constant coil
And the arms had parted as far as they reach
A silent sacrifice for redemption, for it to preach
And when all fails, the heart is broken to the core
The rendering stales the tender meat of the heart, forever more

Oh, but how this new found desire had fed its way into this
The living earth had given its love to meet the heart in this greenish bliss
Oh, let it engulf this stinging wound to make the pain a pleasure
An angst disaster that bled its beauty into a treasure
And it sings a melody of the meaning of life
To have spun its cycling beauty into gold from the inapt of strife
Oh, how the ivy had grown upon the walls of an awakened dream
To speak to her heart to swim in her vein-like streams
The pain from expectations lost in the painted sky of midnight
And all is lost from a feared defeat to wrongness on the sake of right
And to climb upon the epiphany of abundant enchantments to take
Oh, this refuge of love never to the heart shall it forsake
This pillar that held the eyes of hope open and dry
Oh, this vivid remorse, oh this salvation from a world made to cry
