Webmaster,  Faeylyn Wylder

New Mexico artist Faeylyn Wylder was born in California. Her family was involved in the motion picture industry, however Faeylyn was interested in dancing, music, and art. She entered her first art show when she was 10 years old, and in high school, joined a ballet company, performing with the company on their 4 month European tour.

Faeylyn was the youngest artist to be invited to show in a prestigious Southwest Gallery in Albuquerque, in the early 1970s. When she was married, she assisted her husband, a silversmith, in his jewelry production company, continued to show her artwork, and act occasionally in films. Two of Faeylyn’s artworks were displayed at the Albuquerque museum, and she has illustrated several books. In the 1980s, Faeylyn started her own T-shirt company, "Mimbres Where?", selling her shirts in Taos and Santa Fe. She also designed T-shirts for Hallmark.

In the mid-nineties Faeylyn began to realize the importance of the Internet and created sites for the UFO museums in Roswell to try and get exposure to her art work. She became friends with Roswell researcher and lecturer Dennis Balthaser, author/historian Wendy Connors, and Jason Leigh, whose web sites she administers. Three years later she met Parry Aftab and developed the Cyberangels Internet Safety web site, on which she volunteered her time for a year. It was during this time that she became aquainted with Mike Cohen, and together they developed the School Violence Prevention section of the Cyberangel’s site. While she enjoyed her work developing web sites, she found in her work with Cyberangels that she could actively work to try to make a positive difference.

Recently Faeylyn won a "Telly" award for her design of a theme park for the Meteor Roller Coaster animation video, and has won many internet awards. She is currently collaborating on a biography of Actress Ann Harding, her great aunt.
