The Old Neighbourhood

I grew up in Lynn Valley, a community in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. It is tucked up against the Coast Mountains and is crossed by mountain streams and deep canyons.

Lynn Creek

Lynn Creek cuts a deep gorge through the Coast Mountains' granite feet as it rushes towards Burrard Inlet and the Pacific Ocean. The Canyon is crossed by one metre (three-foot) wide steel rope and wood plank suspension bridge. A mystifying place!

Underwood Place and the Samurai

This amazing machine is a 1988 Suzuki Samurai, the finest little 4x4 ever to be recalled for excessive "tipping." It goes from zero to sixty in an unspecified period of time.
Note the rain. It does that a lot in North Vancouver, which likely explains Chris Carter's love for the place (many an X-File has been investigated in the area!)

Me

Here I am in various states of consciousness.

Ceilidh the Corgi

Corgis were bred in Wales as cow and sheep herding dogs. They are roughly nine inches tall. Today the sole purpose of a corgi's existence is as a live vaccuum cleaner. And, appearently, HM Queen Liz Part Two likes 'em. Oh, and they are quite photogenic.

This is Ceilidh, the family dog. She is capable of incredible accelleration. As with all corgis, she is a herding dog and is apt to attempt to herd just about anything: family members, friends, shadows.
