Brave New World
New? Nothing is new about this world. Its old,
and its self repeating. I will go ahead and assume you just said,
“self repeating?” The American “empire” has come to a point that
a few nations have reached in the past, the foremost being the Roman
Empire. I like to call the current stage the “Party” stage. All
is fun, life is carefree and the concerns of the nations left in
the wake of this party are of no concern; the party must go on.
But it will always end.
Lets go back to brave. Ask anyone if beating a
9 year old with a bat is a fair fight and I am sure they will tell
you exactly how sick you are. I am sure they will go into in to
great detail. Now how about the most advanced country in the world
(along with all of its friends) beating on another country that
is in its early stages of economical/political/military/anything
else you can think of development , for something they had no control
over. Prepare to hear about the land of the brave. If sitting in
a room and pushing a button is brave, then I must have become this
worlds savior while writing this, because I have pushed 1232 buttons.
Where is my medal?
Of course I do not wish any disrespect to anyone
who has lost their life serving their country, I feel sorry for
the fact that they would even have to be there in the first place.
This brings me to world.
What sort of world is this? At first look it would
seem to be a jumble of mixed emotions; fear, domination and all
sorts of other fun things. Upon closer inspection, is far more organized.
This organization is very important to the advancement of the “nation”.
When this nation begins to place less importance on organization,
or lets things happen that could jeopardize this organization, new
ways of thinking are born.
For instance, the internet. On a superficial level,
the internet is simply information linked by specific searches and
areas of interest. This all seems normal, but this was the first
medium that the governing nations could not control in any way.
The information could be delivered to a six year old in Canada or
a 50 year old in China. Free thought had once again found a way
to slip by. This point can be proven true, believe it or not, by
the fact that America considered “shutting down” the internet. Scared?
You should be.
All of this points to some sort of master plan,
and yes there is one. America is bound by the will of the corporate
whim. Such a strong economic importance has been placed on industry
that the wellbeing and will of the populace has become a small portion
of leadership in comparison to corporate industry. This is evident
in all facets of modern life, (television, radio, internet, magazines)
and you say, “of course, everyone knows that”, but the implications
of a nation run on industry has more implications than how many
times you were tricked into buying a Big Mac. Your own health has
virtually no meaning when compared to the importance of corporate
tax benefits and/or corporate general wellbeing.
Welcome to the new age of Spectator Democracy,
I hope you enjoy the view.
