FANTASY AT THE EXPO

Ohana sighed, rubbing the smooth skin of the back of her slender neck with weary fingers. She closed her eyes, reveling in the mild tingle that it sent through her body with a slight moan. The raucous crescendo of a thousand conversations sounded around her in the cramped cavern of the spacious auditorium. It was accompanied by the repeating explosions of oversized speakers, screaming their digital beats with triumphant orchestrations and booming voice-overs.

This was her fourth straight hour at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, posing for the crowds before her garish display as she tried to showcase the enjoyment and drama of 'Survivor : The Computer Game.'

  "Excuse me ... miss?"

She opened her eyes, the deep brown irises focusing on her toes as she stared at them in derision. Her thong sandals had thin soles that she swore she could feel the even thinner red carpet through. She smoothed out what little clothing she was wearing over her slender body as she stood, the tight wrap of delicate fabric that she wore as a skirt, the tube top with the game's logo that pressed against her small breasts firmly.

  "Yes?"

It was a young man, a guy, another spectator that had an all too familiar request.

"Can my buddy get a picture of me and you?"

His friend was greasy, sporting an excited veneer. It was all he could do to keep from jumping up and down in his place. His hands shook around the simple camera that was beeping between them. Ohana could just imagine all of the pictures they had in their pockets, their arms around models from the various other booths at the Expo.

"Sure." She smiled, brightening her eyes and moving the fine strands of chocolate hair over her bare shoulder. She stood up straight, jutting out her chest and exposing the slim valley of cleavage. Her backside was toned and it curved finely below the small of her back. She felt his arm slide over her tanned skin, browned by the Hawaiian sun, and she struggled to keep her beautiful glow at the spectator's touch.

"Go ahead Tim, take the picture!" He grinned moronically, giving a thumbs up as the light flashed. "Thanks a bunch miss. Oh boy!"

Ohana watched him skip away, flapping the instant developing negative in his hand as another treasure began to shine through.

"Let's go back to the other wing and get a few more pictures of those 'Dead or Alive 2' girls!"

  "Yeah!"

"Ugh!" She stomped her slender foot, feeling the thin strap of her sandal bite into the tender flesh between her toes. "I can't stand some of these guys!"

  "Something bothering you girl?"

Lucy, the other 'Survivor' model working the booth, looked up from her lunch with an arched eyebrow. Her own small top covered more over her chest, but she wasn't as tall or as gracefully lithe as Ohana.

"I know I haven't been modeling for long, but I thought I'd be getting better gigs than this. Being in an auto parts bikini calender has more glamour." Her warm palms pressed into her chin as she sat down in a minor huff. A designer bandana was wrapped tight around her head, the tie flipping cutely above her head. "I just wish this day would end ... or something more interesting than these dregs would come along."

Ohana sighed, pouting slightly as she leaned back against the soft cushions. Somewhere behind a colorful booth, watching form afar, a long-haired stranger pushed his gray sleeves up around his elbows. He took one last longing gaze towards her before turning to move toward the corner of the Expo floor.

The television screen blurred as a trio of stalwart adventurers happened upon a roving band of malicious monsters during their intrepid journey. The image melted perfectly and flawlessly as the background of a rocky mountain cliff was replaced with a stone battlefield, complete with a trickling stream and two sides ready for combat. The music was an orchestrated masterpiece, expressing the tense excitement of the suspenseful situation.

The evil creatures, two colorful blobs and a small, but deadly dragon, hissed and snarled at their adversaries. One of them, a beautiful Asian girl raised her elaborate crystal staff as her companions knowingly stepped away in retreat. Her robes fluttered about her body as the wind swept about her legs. The air above her grew dim, clouds forming out of the crystal blue nothingness, and a bolt of lightning flashed. It illuminated the multi-colored rock face as another beast appeared.

It unfurled it's massive wings, descending to the ground as it ruffled the beautiful plumes of feathers about it's graceful body. It touched the ground with a light vibration and closed it's eyes as the young woman that had summoned it carressed it's soft neck with a loving hand.

"This is so freakin' beautiful! Will you look at these graphics!"

A young man, no older than eighteen, swallowed as he looked back to the statuesque blonde that spoke next to him in line. She stood a good nine inches taller than his 5' 5" frame, aided in part by her thick, black heels and a toned and towering physique.

"It, uh ... it certainly is."

She turned to smile at him, her lips a glossy red reminiscent of a summer dusk and her eyes were an exacting blue, almost the color of tempered steel. The muscles all over her body shifted and flexed, seeping through the skin tight jeans and shirt that she wore. She looked as if she was about to say something, to tempt him with her dulcet voice that could dip down to a sensuous whisper when she leaned in close, but her face grew sad as she glanced past him.

"Aww, the line is starting to move."

He looked over his shoulder to see people starting to stand where they were once sitting against the wall of the Squaresoft booth. The line to go into the mini-theater was slowly shuffling forward, another group of thirty people or so finding their way inside to see the latest marvels from the RPG giant.

"I want to keep playing but..." She frowned, sighing as she set the controller aside and began to walk in time with the rest of the group. The beautiful bird and it's keeper stood alone before their enemies without action or defense as their master moved away from her game.

The man two steps in front of her could feel her amazon body behind him, looming over him as she followed. The aura of helplessness it instilled within him sent delightful chills through his body that he had never experienced before. The line moved forward for a few more feet and then stopped. He wanted to stop short, to let her press against him, to let her round breasts meld against the back of his head as she tried to move through him with her enormous body, but he didn't.

"Look at this." The blonde put her fists on her hips as she drifted them to one side. "Now we're stopped past the gaming screens. I can't even watch other people play from here."

  "I'm ... sorry about that."

Her grimace melted into a mischievous smirk that made his heart skip a beat. He tried to say something else, but then realized that she was smiling at the arrival of another man. The newcomer was also tall, about the same height as the beautiful blonde, though he stood four inches shorter without the benefit of her sturdy footwear. His hair was long and brown, falling around his shoulders from beneath a tan cap. He wore a simple gray shirt with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows and a pair of jean shorts that he used to show off his flexing calve muscles.

She took in a deep breath, threatening to bust open a button on her shirt, and looked down upon him as he stepped closer to meet her kiss. He cocked an eyebrow as he squinted at her before taking her hand, trying to pull her away.

"Come on, I need to borrow you for something."

"But I'm waiting to see the Squaresoft exhibit. It's supposed to be preview of the movie, Final Fantasy X, and the new chronicles game. You know how much I like Chrono Trigger."

"Yeah I know, but this is...," he looked at the boy in line next to them before scratching at a small scar on his cheek with a thumbnail, "important."

The buxom amazon scrutinized his sheepish grin and sighed.

"Promise me we'll come back and see the exhibit."

  "Of course."

She turned back taking another glance toward the man ahead of her and smiled.

"Will you save my place in line?"

He just stood there, his mouth agape as his jaw tried to yield an answer. She blinked her eyes and pouted.

  "Please?"

"Okay." His heart melted, fluttering about with the buzzing noise of the electronic chaos around them. He watched the two of them walk away, the image of her long legs and heel-sandaled feet burned in his eyes. A jab by an elbow brought him back to the here and now. He rubbed his aching stomach and looked to another young man who was glaring at him with a jealous stare. Before he could explain himself, his boyfriend spun around, showing nothing but his back, and going silent as he crossed his arms in resentment.
