The SAM Chapter 8 model club is assisting the Enticknap family in
disposing of Ted's engine collection. The family wants to tell
Ted's engine collector friends that Ted is in a nursing home and
is not able to communicate reliably. The home does not provide telephone
or email service. The family respectfully requests that no one
should try to communicate with him at this time.
We have started putting some engines on ebay with the blessing of the
family. If you are interested, go to ebay and search on ignition
engines and a listing for one of Ted's engines will come up in
the list.
If you put
"Enticknap" in
the eBay ADVANCED search box and check the
"Search title and description" checkboxyou will get
the engines currently being auctioned. JUST
There will be more engines
each month till the family holds an on site auction. A group of
engines is selected by the family and conveyed to us for sale so we have
no control over what is for sale.
There is no current plan to
have an on site auction during the year 2009. If this plan changes,
it will be noted here.
The collection contains a
large quantity of model airplane and automobile magazines. The
family would like to dispose of these in one batch. There is no
possibility of shipping them as the quantity is way too large. In
addition to the magazines is a large quantity of documentation. We
are not sure what all of it is but there are many filing cabinets full.
One of Ted's friends told us that one set of documentation lists every
Bantam engine produced and when it was produced and may even show who it
was sold to. These materials are of such a quantity that shipping
them is out of the question. The family would also like to dispose
to them in one batch.
Any ideas on how to accomplish
these dispersements would be most appreciated. Please email
your ideas to homer_smith@msn.com
or mail them to the undersigned.
