RUBBER MOTOR CALCULATOR
This is a Rubber Motor Calculator. This is a program in development. I started it with the breaking turns and breaking torque numbers for TAN II from the Don Ross book. I need the numbers for both TAN Super Sport (TAN SS) and TAN Sport (TAN S).
This program calculates the breaking turns/inch and breaking torque on the basis of cross section relative to a 2 strand motor made from 1/8 inch rubber.
You can either run the program from this link or download it to your computer. You can save it in a folder (directory) then execute it by clicking on it or by using the RUN command in the START folder. You can find the Windows Installer version of this program at the bottom of this page
When there is a "1" in the "Length " window you will get the "BREAKING TURNS" for the motor selected. You can use the "LIMIT" window to limit the number to a safe amount. Ie, 80% is what I use. It seems to work with TAN SS and TAN S.
As I receive the numbers for TAN SS and TAN S motors I will incorporate them into the program.

If you run this program from the website the HELP file will not work. You can click HERE to get the HELP file. If you save these files to your computer they must both be in the same directory (folder).
If you like you can download the Install package for this program. The Install package will install the "Rubber Motor Calculator" application on your computer and place shortcut in the "Start/Programs" folder. The shortcut is "Rubber Motor Calculator". This is a self extracting ZIP file. Download it anywhere you want the use the "Start/Run" command to run "Install.exe". After the files are un-ZIPPED run the "Setup.exe" application.
