The Big-Man
First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #10

A timid reporter for the Daily Bugle, and tired of being pushed around by the world, Frederick Foswell became a crime boss, calling himself the Big-Man, his identity completly secret through bulky clothing and shoes and a voice altering device. Following a brief crime spree by Big-Man's lackies the Enforcers, the Big-Man's gang was taken down by Spider-Man and Foswell was unmasked as the Big-Man. Foswell was sent to prison where he became the cellmate of disgruntled Osborn Industries employee Mendel Stromm. A few months later Foswell was released and surprisingly was offered his old job back at the Bugle and welcomed back with open arms by J. Jonah Jameson.

Foswell went on to become a model employee, working against the Crime Master, and actually discovering that Peter Parker was Spider-Man until Peter faked a meeting with himself and a Spidey dummy throwing Foswell off the trail. Foswell remained on the straight and narrow until he unexpectedly returned to crime with the goal of becoming the new Kingpin of organized crime. Foswell died shortly after his return to criminal activities, however he died a hero, taking a bullet meant for Jameson.

Some years later Foswell's daughter Janice assumed his role of Big-Man, opposite her fiancee Lucky Lewis jr., the son of the original, deceased Crime Master. Not knowing that the new Big-Man was Janice, Lewis gunned down the second Big-Man, horrified to learn he had murdered his bride to be. The identity of the Big-Man has remained dormant since.

Powers and Abilities: The Big-Man has no powers other than control over sects of organized crime and a size changing disguise.
