A self described small time crook, the man known only as the Cat Burglar unintentionally made an early mark on Spider-Man by robbing the safe of J. Jonah Jameson, who posted a thousand dollar reward for the burglar's capture. The Cat Burglar, unsuspecting of Spider-Man's desire to bring him to justice, went to commit another high rise robbery, but Spidey intervened. A fight broke out between the two, but the human Cat Burglar, armed only with a gun, was no match for Spidey and hid down a chimney. He was soon found, though. The Cat Burglar remained in police custody for a time to follow this incident, until a later release where he resumed his criminal pursuits. The Cat Burglar tried to cover his tracks this time around though, and using the suit worn by Hobie Brown, the Prowler, tried to make the world and Spider-Man think the reformed Prowler had returned to crime. The Cat Burglar was caught and the Prowler's good name restored soon after, however.
The Cat Burglar has not been seen since his second defeat, and his whereabouts are unknown.
Powers and Abilities: The Cat Burglar had no superhuman powers, but employs a hand gun and several smoke bombs, in addition to wall scaling gear. The Cat Burglar used the Prowler suit and it's technology for a time as well.
