Doppelganger
First Appearance: Infinity War #1

An evil twisted version of Spider-Man, created by the mystically powered being known as the Magus to represent the dark side of Marvel's heroes during the galatic Infinity War. Along with wicked versions of other heroes like Daredevil and Iron Man, the Spider-Man Doppelganger fought until the defeat of the Magus at which point of the evil clones were presumed deceased. However the Doppelganger survived, rescued by the Demogoblin, a demonic entity once bonded with the Hobgoblin, now it's own being.

The Doppelganger went on the become a problem for Spider-Man, as well as other heroes like Ghost Rider and Moon Knight, until the child-like Doppelganger was "adopted" by Shriek and along with Demogoblin, Carrion and Carnage went on a murderous rampage through New York. Soon into their attack, Carnage turned on Shriek and tried to kill her, but the faithful Doppelganger leapt in harms way and took the blow for Shriek. The Doppelganger apparently died and has not been seen since.

Powers and Abilities: Though pocessing the intelligence of a small child, the Doppelganger is extremely vicious and like Spider-Man, has the proportionate strength, speed and agility of a spider, along with four extra, talon bearing limbs.
