Electro
First appearance: (Original Version) Amazing Spider-Man #9; (Current Version) Amazing Spider-Man #422; (Relaunch Version) Spider-Man: Chapter One #6

Growing up Max Dillon endured more hardships than most people know in a lifetime. His father left him and his mother when Dillon was just eight, and his mother was overly protective of him, telling him not to play sports or leave to go away to college. After his mother's death, Dillon got a job at an Electric Company and married his co-worker Norma Lynn. Unhappy with her spouse not wanting to leave his job as a lineman for a higher position Norma left Dillon. Dillon continued being a lineman, until the day when a pole he was working on was struck by lightening causing Dillon to become Electro!

Electro first fought Spider-Man early on in his career, and became one of Spider-Man most formidable, and ridiculous enemies. Recently Electro felt that he'd lost a lot of respect, and he sucked all the power out of New York nearly killing himself in the process. Ironically, it was Spider-Man who saved Electro's life. Wanting to gain back his respect he felt he lost after having his life saved by his greatest enemy, Electro had his powers charged by the Rose, in exchange for his service. Electro rebelled and started his own personal war for respect, nearly killing Spider-Man and the mysterious heroine Dragonfly, which resulted in Electro's apparent demise. Electro returned however, in a new costume, with no explanation for his return. Electro became a member of a new incarnation of the Sinister Six and was later beaten by Venom resulting in his apparent death.

Powers and Abilities: Electro can control all forms of electricity, including the electrical impulses in brains.
