A freak accident left scientist Franklin Hall with the ability to control gravity and, dubbing himself Graviton, he used his powers to raise his research facility to the skies and it was through the timely arrival of the Avengers that Graviton was defeated. After recovering from a breakdown following that, Graviton fought Thor and then became involved with the mysterious Blank, and went after the Avengers once more, only to kill Blank for failing to stop the Avengers. Graviton came into contact with Spider-Man shortly after during the "Acts of Vengeance" and leveled the Daily Bugle.
After his unfortunate fight with Spidey, that Graviton became trapped in an alternate universe for a time, until his rescue by Baron Zemo, the one time leader of the Thunderbolts. Graviton then encountered the Thunderbolts, who at this time had just been exposed as criminals. It was during their second encounter that Graviton, who had created a kingdom in the sky, realized his lack of focus. Graviton then sought out Dr. Karla Sofen, better known as Moonstone of the Thunderbolts, to tutor him, to teach him how to better use his powers against his enemies. Moonstone did so for reasons all her own, and Graviton returned to murder the Thunderbolts, more powerful than ever. However he was surprised to see that the Thunderbolts were no longer active, though that did not deter his rampage and he murdered their replacements, the Redeemers.
When last seen Graviton had raised most of the major cities of the world into the skies, and it was up to the original, pardoned Thunderbolts to stop him. The original Thunderbolts did indeed succeed in stopping Graviton, and repelling an invading P'Tah army, but the Thunderbolts, save Songbird, were propelled onto Counter-Earth, a planet opposite Earth's orbit on the other side of the sun. Graviton's whereabouts are not known.
Powers and Abilities: Graviton has an above average intelligence, and the ability to manipulate gravity.
