Hydro-Man
First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #212

While loading cargo onto a boat, ship worker Morrie Bench found himself flung into the water during a freak accident. The equipment that the crate held, and strange gases from beneath the earth's surface bonded with Bench, giving him hydraulic powers. Bench saw this as his big break, and he then called himself Hydro-Man! A short while after Hydro-Man appeared, he allied himself with the villain the Sandman. However both Sandman and Hydro-Man melded create the Mudman! Mudman was defeated, and Sandman renounced his life of crime.

Hydro-Man continued to be a thorn in Spider-Man's side, alone, or working in the Super-Villain group The Sinister Syndicate, which he fought along side with Speed Demon, the Beetle, the Rhino and Boomerang. During a failed venture Hydro-Man was imprisoned in the Vault. Hydro-Man attempted to escape during the faux breakout caused by The Thunderbolts!. After a unknown breakout, Spider-Man ran into Hydro-Man on a New York street. Again they crossed paths as Hydro-Man sought revenge, only to be captured by the Silver Sable and the Sandman. After this, Hydro-Man became emboiled in a fight in Wakanda with the Black Panther, and entered the employ of criminal financer Justin Hammer, shortly before his death. Hydro-Man is currently in police custody though, following an ill-fated encounter with Spider-Man and the Black Cat.

Powers and Abilities: Hydro-Man can control all of the water around him, and his body is composed of liquid, making him immune to solids.
