Judas Traveller
First appearance: Web of Spider-Man #117

Originally believed to have been centuries old, and to have the powers to alter minds and cause destruction with a mere thought, Dr. Judas Traveller was in fact a mutant with the ability to alter the perseptions of people, and he had simply gone overboard in his reasoning for his new powers. Traveller's belief in his abilities led him to try to discover the true meaning of evil, as he enlisted a group of mercenaries called the Host to aid him in his quest. Traveller encountered Spider-Man on several occasions about the time that the Spider-clone, Ben Reilly reappeared, and went as far as to pit Spider-Man against his foes in the Ravenscroft sanitarium.

One of Traveller's trusty allies was Scrier, a man of mystery who aided Traveller in his ordeals, until Scrier turned on Traveller, kidnapping him and holding him prisoner. The Host were also turned against Traveller, save Traveller's lover Chakra, who fled with Traveller in the end. For his inability to kill Traveller, Scrier had his neck broken. Traveller and Chakra's current whereabouts are unknown.

Powers and Abilities: First thought to be immortal and to possess seemingly endless powers, Traveller is a mutant with the ability to alter minds and perceptions. Traveller is also a world reknowned criminal psychologist.
