The Kangaroo II
First appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #242

In the time just following Peter's return as Spider-Man following the death of his clone Ben Reilly, a new Kangaroo appeared, wearing the same outfit as the original and bearing the same powers. Spider-Man knocked the new Kangaroo unconcious with one punch. Soon after his defeat, the new Kangaroo reappeared with a new battle suit and a more kangaroo-like costume, and revealed that he was actually a big fan of the original Kangaroo, Frank Oliver, and wanted to avenge Oliver's death (for more on Frank Oliver, the Kangaroo see his separate entry). However the battle suit backfired on the second Kangaroo and he was webbed up and left for the police, though before he could be apprehended he was freed from the webbing by Maxwell Markham, the Grizzly, who wanted to form a Spider-Man revenge squad and thought the Kangaroo would fit right in. The group, also consisting of the Gibbon and the Spot was short-lived though when the Kangaroo teamed up with the Spot against the less intelligent, and actually well meaning, Grizzly and Gibbon, and the former two were taken in by Spider-Man while the Grizzly and the Gibbon reformed and became unlikely superheroes. The second Kangaroo, when last seen, was still in prison, being held at the meta-human facility known as "the Cage".

Powers and Abilities: Like the first Kangaroo, the second has similar powers; he is able to leap to great heights and can forcibly kick. When wearing his armor battle suit, the Kangaroo's natural abilities are enhanced and he can shoot missiles from a cannon located on his chest.
