Kraven The Hunter
First appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #15

The story of Sergai Kravenoff begins in the days of Russian Aristocracy, as the Kravenoff family were of a rich and storied past. Kraven's father was a man of great dignitary. He lusted after many women, having two sons in the process, one born of his wife, the other of a chambermaid. Those sons were Sergai and Dmitri, respectively. Sergai was raised as Kravenoff's own, while Dmitri continued to work for the Kravenoff's, often being tortured by Sergai in the process.

After the death of his father, Sergai began training to become the world's greatest, and most skillful, hunter. He went so far as to ingest a serum, that enhanced his senses. It is assumed around this point he had two sons, Alyosha and Vladimir, the Grim Hunter. However, the greatest fight of Sergai's life came when he received a message from Dmitri, who had assumed the guise of the Chameleon, to eliminate Spider-Man. Sergai dubbed himself "Kraven the Hunter", and tried to kill Spider-Man, failing miserably. This began Sergai's obsession.

Sergai devoted himself to Spider-Man's destruction by allying himself with the Green Goblin, and the Sinister Six. It wasn't until Kraven felt that he had one last chance to be victorious, that he dealt his greatest blow towards Spider-Man. Kraven buried Spider-Man six feet underground in a coffin, and donned a replica of Spider-Man's costume and became a brutal crime fighter, torturing the creature named Vermin.

Feeling that Spider-Man had finally been destroyed, once and for all, Kraven put his shotgun in mouth and pulled the trigger. Kraven the Hunter died that night, and though he has remained dead, Spider-Man was once forced to fight Kraven's reanimated corpse to save Kraven's soul. Years later, Kraven's son Vladimir returned, calling himself the Grim Hunter, and he went Spider-Man to avenge his father's death. Vladimir's hunt was short-lived as he was quickly killed by Kaine, a degenerative clone of Spider-Man. Kraven's second, and last son, Alyosha, has returned to track down Spider-Man, fully honoring his father by taking his moniker of Kraven. He has allied himself with the other members of the Sinister Six in his quest to learn more about his father.

Powers and Abilities: Kraven has heightened senses, above level stamina and a number of hunting utilities, in his arsenal.
