Kraven The Hunter II
First appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #243

Years after the death of Sergei Kravinoff, a man better known as Kraven, the Hunter, Sergei's son Vladimir arrived in New York with a plan to avenge his father's death by attacking the man he felt was responsible: Spider-Man. Armed with hi-tech machinery and accompanied by Gregor, the man who had trained Kraven, the so-called Grim Hunter was quickly slain in battle and it appeared that book on the Kravinoff's had been closed for good. This notion would prove false soon after when it seemed that Kraven the Hunter had returned from the dead, despite his apparent suicide. First thought to be a ghost, it was soon realized that Kraven had returned, but not the original, late Kraven, but his other long-lost son Alyosha Kravinoff, the new Kraven the Hunter.

Alyosha first made his presence known through contact with his Uncle, the Chameleon, whom he would later very badly wound with a shotgun, a sign of things to come. Alyosha then went after Spider-Man, though for motives purer than those of his brothers. Alyosha just wanted to find out more about his estranged father, and who better to tell him then the man who had become his father's obcession, Spider-Man. After their initial meeting, it appeared that Alyosha and Spider-Man had parted on good terms, though Alyosha was far more dangerous and mad than he appeared to be as he murdered Calypso, his father's lover and then altered his appearence so he could look more like his father. Kraven would run into Spider-Man again when he was hired to root out what would turn out to be the offspring of Lockjaw, the Inhuman, from the ruins of the Four Freedom Plaza, and then headed over to Wakanda where he fought the Black Panther, now looking exactly like his father.

Alyosha returned to New York and bid his time tracking down muggers and thieves in Central Park, until recieving an offer from the Sandman to rejoin the Sinister Six. However, Alyosha, along his teammates humiliated new member Venom in their first outing and the symbiotic killer made it his mission to take down the other members. Venom stabbed Electro and murdered the Sandman, so Kraven took precautions and set a trap for Venom. Unfortunatly Venom escaped and speared Alyosha with his talons. Spider-Man took Alyosha to a hospital, and although he has not been seen since, it is assumed that the second Kraven will soon hunt again.

Powers and Abilities: Like his father, the second Kraven has heightened senses, above level stamina and a number of hunting utilities, in his arsenal.
