Amazing Spider-Man #166 (March 1977)
Len Wein, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito

Amazing #166 the plot: When Curt Connors lab assistant Vincent Stegron transforms into Stegron, the dinosaur man, Spider-Man visits Dr. Connors to find any information about Stegron's where-abouts. However, when Spidey arrives he sees that Connors has once again reverted into his Lizard persona. The Lizard leaves without fighting Spider-Man because, as Martha Connors explains, Stegron has kidnapped young Billy Connors. In a storage vault, beneath Central Park, Stegron keeps Billy as he irradiates skeletons of dinosaurs that develope flesh on their bones. Stegron plans to create a dinosaur army with a new serum Connors had been working on, and Billy was ransom for it. The Lizard then catches up with Stegron, and the two begin to fight for Billy.

The Dinosaurs Stegron had brought to life begin to walk up to a helpless Billy, when Spider-Man arrives. Spider-Man gets Billy to safety, and gives the Lizard a serum that reverts him to Curt Connors once again. Stegron flees the scene, followed in pursuit by Spider-Man. After a brief battle near the Central Park Lake, Stegron falls onto the ice covering it, and falls through that also. After a search Stegron was not found, and Spider-Man gave up.
