the plot:
The sinister origins of Dr. Octopus are recounted, how a bullied young boy named Otto Octavius grew up to become Spider-Man's greatest foe. Doc Ock's backstory of his life, then his demise at the hands of the renegade clone known Kaine and then his ressurrection are retold by Peter Parker, Octavius' protege Carolyn Trainer and the Daily Bugle columnist who wrote his obituary.
