the plot: As Venom greives at his ex-wife's grave (see Amazing #19 for details), his symbiote is mysteriously taken away. Later at the Stacy household, Peter Parker and siblings Paul and Jill argue with their father Arthur about his ties to Senator Ward. Meanwhile, Spider-Man takes on terrorists while Arthur has a reunion with his old friend the Ranger, and later Spidey meets with Arthur to get the truth about Ward. And what of Ward himself? It's he who had taken Brock's symbiote, for reasons all his own.
