the plot: Peter Parker tries to come to grips with the fact that Otto Octavius, better known as the master criminal Dr. Octopus, was removed from his grave. Also trying to understand this is Octavius' protege Carolyn Trainer, who enlists the aid of Ock's old girlfriend Stunner to get to the bottom of things. The two of them, plus Spider-Man learn that the Rose is behind Ock's removal and plans to ressurect him, though a host body is needed for the ceremony, and Spidey is drugged while fighting the Hand ninjas involved in the ceremony. When he awakens he is strapped to a table, next to Ock's body, and the ceremony begins.
