the plot: The Black Tarantula is in New York and wishing to see his plans come to play. It seems that Mary Jane's psychology professor, Marina Caches, was the ex-wife of the Black Tarantula, and now the Tarantula is in New York to take their son Fabian to follow in his footsteps. Meanwhile the Rose is unmasked as Daily Bugle reporter Jacob Conover and the gang arrive at Fortunato's compound to seek refuge from the Tarantula, since Marina's boyfriend Dante is Fortunato's adopted nephew. The Tarantula arrives, with Spidey hot in pursuit, and a deadly fight breaks out between the two and Fortunato's hired goons and Hydra Mandroids. The Tarantula finally reaches Fabian but realizing the danger he'll place his son in, the Black Tarantula walks away...for now.
