the plot: With Peter Parker retired as Spider-Man, and Ben Reilly just out of uniform as the Scarlet Spider, people are wondering where Spider-Man is. When news of Spider-Man's return in a new suit is heard, Spidey's old ally the Human Torch wants to know if this Spidey is the real deal, as do Silver Sable and Sandman, who've hired Spidey in the past. Ben Reilly spots the Sandman later, and unaware of his reforming, engages him in battle. The Human Torch is peeved because Ben can be the Spidey he became buddies with, while the Sandman wants to take his buddy Spider-Man out for a beer. All this, plus the revamped Mysterio continues to plot his comeback!
