the plot: Dr. Octopus tries valiently to save the life of Peter Parker, who is dying of a lethal virus. Down to the wire, Ock ends up giving Parker CPR to save his life, which he does. Ock meanwhile decides to give himself up to the police in order to give Spidey time to rest up until their next encounter, because even though he saved his life, they both are worthy foes. However, Ock doesn't get that next chance, because he's murdered by the mysterious renegade Kaine on the way to the police station.
