Venom: Along Came a Spider -
Spider-Carnage (1996)

Spider-Carnage review by justin anderson

the desription: Spider-Carnage begged for a figure to be made. One finally came in a Venom sub-line.

the design: Spider-Carnage stands a mere 4.5" tall, despite being to scale with the rest of the line. Cast entirely in dark red transparent plastic, unpainted areas can light up if backlit. The only paint detail sare the black covering the body, silver for the web shooters, white eyes, and a light yellow inner mouth.

The problem with the transparent body lies in the fact the plastic is too dark. When lit, it glows bright red. Otherwise, it's very dark, and may even appear black.

The figure came with a fuzzy "trap spider" accessory.

the articulation: Aside from the details pouring through from the Ben Reilly costume, the figure looks more like Carnage than Spider-Man. There are a total of 8 joints- neck, shoulders, wrists, waist, and hips.

the review: Carnage fans should love this. But the glowing gimmick is something that has it's definite ups and downs. **** out of *****
