the plot: The Final Chapter, part three of four. Spider-Man discovers that Aunt May is alive, and the May Parker he thought to have died was a fake. Meanwhile Norman Osborn achieves the gift of power from his Gathering of Five, and he uses it to defeat Spidey, as well as most of New York, before unmasking Spider-Man before the staff of the Daily Bugle.

Needless to say, this was the final issue of Spectacular Spider-Man. And not a very good one to boot.
