the plot: Peter Parker is dying of a mysterious ailment, and his friends and family visit him in the hospital, while his "brother", Ben Reilly, sets off as Spider-Man and saves the ocuopants of a crashed helicopter. Peter undergoes a turn for the worse though, but an old friend by the name of Dr. Curt Connors arrives to offer what help he can.
