the plot: While Hobie Brown, aka the Prowler, lays bedridden and paralyzed, a new Prowler emerges, using Hobie's suit. While Spidey tries to get to the bottom of this, at the Bugle he's saddled with a new partner in young reporter Billy Walters. Meanwhile the Prowler is attacked by the Vulture, and Peter and Billy go to cover a later attack by the Prowler, but how can Peter get away to stop the Prowler, without letting on he's Spidey?

In the first part of a two part back-up story, Spidey tries to stop David Kalen (D.K) from rampaging through the Ravencroft Institute.
